For those of you like-minds out there that really enjoy the Double Maduro Cervantes, and at the risk of losing all future bids on this, or having to pay out the wazoo for a fav-cigar, I'm still wondering if there is a better bang-for-the-buck cigar to be had (yup, it's the grass is always greener dilemma). Especially when a box of twenty really has twenty great smokes in it, very consistent, medium to full-bodied sticks in the two-buck range.

So, the burning question is... can a cheap old **** like me smoke a medium to full-bodied cigar, right off the rack (even in the rack),that is BETTER than the Cervantes (not just as good, not similar, not just OK, not just cheap) really just plain better than the Cervantes? Can you tell I really like these?

IN SHORT... which ONE is THE BEST medium to full-bodied, two-dollar (OK...$2.25 delivered MAX), smoke out there?

5 Vegas Torpedo sometimes fetches prices in this range.
El Rico Habano Club. I got several boxes while back for ~$52/ea
The Cigar by Perdomo might be in this range

HdM double maduros of just about any size. They can be had on CBID regularly at less than $2 a stick.
Also the Mayorgas are IMHO a good deal on a tasty cigar.
Montecruz Negra Cubana is another sleeper.

I've got Bolivar Fuertes on auction here for around $2 a copy. I think they're excellent and if you like the Sanchos you may well like these.

Those Fuertes ain't for the faint of heart... Good though. And oh, I'll bet you've never heard this, "best with some age on them".

Hey, these look like some fine cigars, and a few I guess I'll have to revisit. Thanks for the suggestions!

Maybe just a little help before I run out and pick these up;

On the Montecruz Negra Cubana, is it The Double Corona 7x48 or any?

AND

On the Bolivar Fuertes, doyou mean the SUN-RIPENED OSCURO SIZE A 7.25x48 or any?

Thanks again for the input!

I've liked every size I've tried. Try them in the size that you prefer.

I think that with the Mayorgas you get the best bang or smoke for your buck. They retail less than $3.00 a stick and you should be able to beat that here.
