I just started bidding on this site in January, and its only been 2 months but the prices are going higher since then. I can't even buy 1 dollar 5-packs anymore (except for Bad Frogs). I got my Padrons 5-pack for $17. Oh I muss the good old days.

That is a bit high isn't? I agree, I started bidding on stuff here maybe 4 months ago and yes I remember being able to buy 1 dollar 5 packs. But hey, some prices are still cheap, but people have to keep the prices down. PRices will go up to what the market will bare. I am sure cbid is happy :)

One of the problems is that it's the bidding that's so damned exciting!! It's easy to get caught up in it, and before you know it, you got a 20 pack of bad frogs... My wife accuses me of being caught up in the bidding (guilty) breath...

Tim, what's that whistling sound? Do you hear it? Getting louder? From a high pitch to a lower one?

There are still good bargins on this site, you really just gotta watch, be patient, and if it goes higher than it should... pass, and look for it again in a week or so... Then do it all again.
It's all in the timing my brothers.

If CBid auctioned a few more 5 packs of Arturo Fuentes, they could give us the rest of the cigars for free and still make money.

xrundog, patience IS the key. You will usually get what you want, at a good price, if you dont let your competive male instincts take over. I've got so many smokes that I dont mind losing. I only pay what I want to pay, or I forget about it.
