I just want to know when you and the kiddo are headin' out to the desert to ride...

My boys are going to Glamis again tomorrow (Saturday). I'm not going this time either, but will probably the next.

You up for it?

I think that you guys ride dirt bikes right? Don't know if dirtbikers and quad riders go on rides together or not...maybe the rides are too different...whatever...just would be cool to ride and herf and drink and fart...well, not ME of course, but I'll hold the match!

Oh man you aint gonna believe this but I let Mikey (just turned 17)take his bike out with his buddies by himself and he blew it up.Siezed both the top and bottom end,I figured well maybe it could be partially my fault as we probably should have replaced the rings and did some more maintanence for the begining of the new season.Well I've been busy at work and **** on Saturdays and haven't had time to fix it or sell it and get another one and he was buggin' the hell out of me to take mine and go riding with his buddy again.
Soooo I let him take mine and made him promise to take it easy on my bike.Well he fuggin siezed this one as well!

So I'm fuggin pissed at the little SOB right now and I aint about to shell out the cash to rebuild them right now so he can go out and do it again.I'm thimking a year off will teach the little booger to have some respect for machinery and ****.I just know that he either didn't properly warm up the bikes before hittin it hard or he just flat out didn't care. He's a great kid but has a dendency to brain fart when racing and stuff,he really dosen't like to be in 2nd place at anything and if he falls behind he will overcompensate by completely overeving his bike.He just can't quite understand that just maybe the other guy is a little more experienced rider than he is at this time.

Well that was entirely to long of an explanation...LOL
But maybe in the near future I'll cruise out there with my Baja Bug and putz around with you guys.I do need to get out and go camping real soon and I love it out there at Ocotillo wells.Have they checked out Ocotillo yet? It's just over the hills from you guys, you go up through Julian.

Later,JJ

Dude, that'll learn him...too bad though!

Buggy!!!??? Now, that's what I want! I'm trying to convince the big guy that our daughter and I could ride around in comfort and style whilst they do the bike thing...

Easter...Mike and I'll be in Grenada...and the son will probably be in Florida with his uncle...

Another place and time my dear...another place and time...

Oh, yeah, Mike and I used to go to O.W. when we were still dating back in the day (late 70's early 80's)...pretty fun. We've only made it out there once since then :( Our son has only riden on dunes...it would be his first on a more dirt and rock terrain area.

Yeah, well, I was hittin' the martini's when I was postin' last night...if'n ya can't spell fer ****, ya can't spell fer ****! LOL! I have my moments...mainly grammatical errors. But, alas, I don't give a ****!

Later...

I don't see how it's your fault--you weren't riding them. The solution seems clear to me: he broke 'em, he pays to have 'em fixed. If he can't or won't, he's done riding.

Oh I agree Rick,it's just after the 1st one I was slightly willing to give him the benifit of the doubt that he really wasn't hammering it when it happened because **** happens some times. But after the 2nd one it's "sorry buddy I don't think so" and until you want to start telling the truth here and admit responsability, we are through riding for a while.Well at least he is as I'll probably fix my bike and go out riding with a couple buddies.

Uh-oh. Mike just called and he's coming home with a black eye.

He said it split open too...

Kevin's luggage w/feet fell off of a shelf in the van and landed smack dab on Mike's head while he was asleep last night.

I had to laugh (unfortunately for most, I'm one of those that sorta gets tickled at injuries...especially if it should have been on AFV) since he had just chipped a front tooth on a rib or chicken bone at dinner the other day and hasn't gone to get it fixed.

I bet he looks like he had the you know what beat out of him now! I just might have to take a pic and post it, LOL!

He could always say it was an endo or something...right?
