Although I've never participated in discussion on these threads I'd like to say a few words. I was brought up to respect everyones beliefs, good or bad. I feel that in doing so it has made me a better person. I do feel that Saddam was giving the U.S and UN a lot of B.S. As an American, and prior enlisted service I do and always will respect my C.I.C and his decisions. As one who values my freedom of free speech and thinking, I can only pray for our honorable men and women in the gulf and there honorable duty to this country, and know also that there MAY be men, women, and children in Iraq that MAY not share there leaders point of view yet will have to suffer such consequences just the same. Maybe I'm rambling, I hope you all see where I'm coming from but whatever your beliefs, WAR is never pretty and always comes at a price...thanx for hearing me out-kai

Wouldn't it be awesome if they took out Saddam with the first salvo? We'll see. I saw "Saddam" on TV a little while ago making a speech but it didn't really look like him--a double??

What you said Hog. May the good guys and get thru this without a scratch.

I don't think that was Saddam... and the Strikes are more than an hour ago.. there has been NO retalitory Strikes no launching of Iraqi Aircraft to defend.. I think the Stratigic Hits have screwed up there Command and Control!!!!!! I pray it did... and Saddam is no more... the earlier Stikes yesterday in lower Iraq they were worried hitting Chemical/Bio Missles and Artilary peices... they cannot asses that as yet... but I feel the leadership there is in Turmoil... and remember it is also the Baath Party who was controling Iraq and there not going to want to give what they have up... But Until I see Saddam...I think it may be over before it starts... Fingers Crossed!!!!

I believe that "Saddam" on TV was an imposter, too fat in the cheeks and wearing glasses to read and no mention of the attacks!

LMAO @ Mean

He did look funny (if that was him) with glasses.
I guess he did not have time to put in his contacts.

I didn't see the Saddam broadcast, I was out in the garage listening to the radio coverage smoking a R&J #4 ISOM in support of our troops. But when I saw the pics from the broadcast, my first thought was,"who the hell is that"?

Looked like one of those guys in the balcony from the Muppet Show.

I'll be watching/listening tonight while smoking safely in my home and thinking how lucky I am to have such brave people making it possible.

Amen bud. I agree with you whole heartedly.
While I sit in relative safety in my house, with my wife and kids lying on the couch or playing with Leggos on the floor, I thank God for putting me where I am and I thank those men and women willing to do what I have not.
