I was invited to a tasting of these. Anyone tried em? Is it worth attending, or should I just stay home?

Ugly lookin' puppy but...

OH YEAH BABY! very distinctive flavor. I dont usually
ride the flavor description boat but this one definetly
has a "woody" note IMHO.

But then again they are pretty crudely constructed so I would not bid on any of these..

Hope they're as good as people say. Just "won" a bundle of these for $61. I figure even if I don't care for them enough people like them to make them good for trades.

I agree. I won 5 of these and they are horrible. So horrible I can hardly believe it, so I will try to get a few more just to make sure.

I may be breaking ranks with the general consensus, but I was somewhat underwhelmed by this one. The rustic look is kinda cool, and the flavor is okay, but not something to knock your socks off. I'm letting my remaining few rest in the humidor for a few more months and see if this unlocks a bit more complexity.

Gerber- not a "knock your socks off" stick by any
means but a decent, enjoyable smoke for me for the money.

I need to amend my opinion about these. Just smoked another one after a couple more months of humidor time, and I have to say that this was a profoundly different smoke. Still rich in flavor, the cigar has smoothed out some and added whole new levels of flavor including a toastiness and distinct carmel taste that was entirely absent from the first two I smoked. A higly recommened cigar with proper aging.

Avoid these at all costs! I hear they use paraquat as an insecticide to keep the bugs down. Additionally, they are irrigated with raw sewage and their rollers do not wash their hands after bathroom breaks. Do not bid on these whatever you do...
