Oh, My God!!!

Just finished this champ of a cigar. It is totally Amazing!

Great complexity, smooth even draw and burn, rich flavor "More Complexity" spicy flavor "A Lot More" than I expected.

This cigar just became my personal favorite. I hope that he will sell me the rest of the box, Monday.

For your viewing pleasure: I posted a pic of them in the pics forum.

How do you justify smoking Cuban cigars? Because my good friends who have access to them trade me!! Even though he got the better of me :-) Still in all, very enjoyable! That Romeo 2001 Limitada Edicion is a small cigar with BIG hairy balls! Thanks BS!!!

Are you talking about the new Vegas Robaina that was just released supposedly with "Pre-embargo Cuban Tobacco"?...Tried one and it was OK..Tossed it at the 1/2 mark.

Just got back to this post, enjoying reading the comments - Robby you are out there man - way out there. "For Sure" you got the best of me on that trade.

I think that one of the Vegas Robania Famous found its way into JD1's collection. I don't have a clue how he got it and I know that he will never tell either. I only wish that I had his connections.

Any way here is his review of this gar:

Man oh man! After the little one went to sleep last night (~23:00), I stepped out onto the patio with the VR. Just barely a movement of desert air and only enough to detect it on your skin. The temperature was about 61 and dropping very slowly to what was 50 this morning.

I ran the VR under my proboscis (got that from the boards, Robby) and noted the spiciness in the wrapper. The bunch was firm and heavy, there's a lot of tobacco rolled up in there. After toasting the foot, I rolled it while lighting to get an even light. Flames shooting out with each puff.

For some reason, the first 1/8 of all the cigars I smoke don't move me one way or the other unless it's a dog rocket. But mostly it is just a good tobacco taste. It's what comes after that 1/8 inch that really starts to develop in most cigars that will sway me either way. This VR not only swayed me, it dam near knocked me over! What a burst of flavor! Very spicy, cedary notes followed by what I can only describe as a hint of white pepper. And oh that classic distinguishable Havana "twang" on the finish!

The ash fell off after about 1.5 inches. Strength really began to build during the second half along with the spiciness and the aforementioned twang became more prominent. This baby is not for the novice, mild-medium bodied smoker. You better be seasoned on full-bodied sticks or this one will set you back down in your seat. This cigar never let up and kept developing all the way to the end--which by the way measured about 1/2 inch...

I did some reading on a few reviews afterward and found that VR are among the most full-bodied Havanas with their Famosos being their most full-bodied blend. According to the size of this smoke, my friend, was this the Famosos? If it was, wow; no WOW! What a memorable night and I hated toss that nub. If I had a pipe, I probably would've of stuffed it in the bowl and burned it down!

JD - I hope you don't mind me sharing but to be honest I have saved this on my HDD. It really made me happy to know that you had such experience.

Regards,

B

Hey, I have a date with that Russian tennis babe next week, Anna Korniholya, also I heard she's a real nimpho. Just wondering what to expect?

Wondering what to expect! WONDERING WHAT TO EXPECT!!?? Why that's like girgling down a quart of water from your canteen in front of someone who's dying of thirst! AND THEN EMPTYING THE REST OVER YOUR HEAD AND FACE!
