- I believe this to be one of the guys I was working with this past summer at Pendleton - very nice man.

... would appreciate some prayers for his family.

- just so you all know .... yep - was him...

and - the support for the troops on this board is fantastic and really appreciated ...

- even the leftwing knuckleheads (R*ck) who don't agree with the war still support the boys & girls giving it their all.

Please let's not forget the ones that give everything.

Marla - since you're a local in the Pendleton area - think you could head up a donation from the board members for Childers family? Nothing official, we all trust you (for something like that ONLY) - but I'd appreciate it if you'd accept any donations that anyone from the board will give and then just contact the PAO at Pendleton to mail/deliver whatever comes in in form of a check - listed as given from nobody - but somebody that cares...

I'll get the wifey to mail you ....

May God Bless Childers, and the others, that are making personal sacrifices for our Freedom, and that of others.

BRIEFING WITH CENTCOM COMMANDER GENERAL TOMMY FRANKS
SUBJECT: MILITARY OPERATIONS IN IRAQ
LOCATION: DOHA, QATAR
TIME: 9:04 A.M. EST
DATE: SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2003
GEN. FRANKS: Well, good afternoon. Let me begin by saying that my heart and the prayers of this coalition go out to the families of those who have already made the ultimate sacrifice. Because of the courage and the dedication of these heroes, the mission of Operation Iraqi Freedom will be achieved.

Q First is about a personal statement for the families of the
casualties.

GEN. FRANKS: Oh, for the families of the casualties?
Absolutely. As I said in my -- in my opening remarks, my heart goes out to the loved ones and to the families of those who have fallen. I
think all of us who have served in prior wars at different times in different places have a certain feeling about the loss of a comrade.
These are wonderful -- these are wonderful young people. And my personal thoughts and prayers and the thoughts and prayers of a great many nations go out to their families.
