Question of the day: If you wanted to buy 2 boxes of cigar on Cigarbid what would you buy? I have $100( mother-in law B-Day gift) of cigarbid's money burning a hole in my pocket and I am going hunting. I am a Med/Maduro kind of guy so I am thinking Olivia and Cupido combo. I already have Hoyo, Mayorga, Tambor bundle, ERDM, Sancho Panza and Bucs. Thoughts?

The Oliva O maddie without a doubt. An absolute second would be any Padron 2000 or 3000 in maddie. Nice problem to have!

Indeed, but with a 100 dollar limit and the desire for 2 boxes, I don't think he can squeeze it. If it's one box and a 100 dollar limit, ALL BETS ARE OFF!

You may like the Mayorga HO's too. Exellent IMHO. They are not for the faint of heart though...

true Robby; take your pick because "this day two boxes you cannot purchase" says Yoda. Opt for one o the other and do the rest in 5-packs.
So cool spending your money for ya!

Interesting on the Mayorga HOs. I'll have to keep my left eye open for those.

Box of Onyx Reserve Robustos at $56 and one box of Perdomo The Cigar Robustos for 43.95 would fill the bill.

Or one Box of CAO Brazila GOL's at $89 bucks and a couple boxes of matches.

A box of Punch Punch oscuro, Onyx Reserve, Montecruz Negra Cubana, The Cigar, La Perla Habana maduro. I've purchased all of these for less than $50, some for much less.

In CI's latest catalog they have an offer for two boxes of Cupido Vintage Churchill's for 99.95! That is one hell of a great deal on some damn fine cigars.

I think I might go for a box of Cupido Criollos and then enjoy some five-packs in addition of some other favorites. Just love those Cupido Criollos, and they can be gotten for a good price. A box of Avo Domaine would also be money well spent.

$100.00, wow, that's a ton of money to spend.

here's some of my suggestions:

Bootlegger's Sweet Hits Amaretto Set of 15
3 of 3 at $5.00
you could get 300 cigars for you $100.00.

Bad Frog Torpedo - Set of 15 7 of 7 at $1.00.
you could get 1500 cigars for $100.00

Dutch Masters Panatela (50) 2 of 2 at $5.00.
you could get like, a whole, big bunch of cigars for $100.00. that's what i did.

sometimes i get some of each.

i usually don't give away my secrets, so don't tell anyone.

RICKAMAVEN,
I have never done anything to you. Why are you trying to kill me with bad cigars.

The real question here is "Quanity" or "Quality". Since you want both I do not know what to recommend. If I had 100 dollars extra I would try to get me a few VSGs, Opus X, and a few Havanas my suggestions in the Havana Line: Vegas Robania - Famous, Montecrito Number 2's, H Upmann Torpedo Number 2.

What the heck it is a gift anyway for you to Enjoy!!!Just My 2 Cents!

If it were me, I think I would go for a box of Onyx Reserves and possibly a box of Flor de Oliva Grand Maduros. Those together should stay under $100.

Perdomo Reserves. I like the Rosado wrapper. I never boxes of these on CBid but 5-Paks are usually up.

smithbw made a good suggestion. as a compromise, get a box of something for $50. With the other $50 get yourself 4 or 5 celebration sticks. Got to try a PAM if you can find one, maybe an Opus X if you can find one, an Ashton VSG would be nice, and so on. Happy Birthday!

If two boxes of good maddie smoking is your objective, it's MNSHO that these two have hit the nail squarely on the head ... you might find other combinaions of smokes that are good ones, but THIS is as good a pair as you'll ever find for that kind of $$$ ... and even the S/H is all but covered with your C-note

Man, GT, I hate homework...

I'd roll the dice and count down how many lines it works out to be and voila! Go for the unknown on one and a tried and true on the other...

Just my wacky advice...if you don't like it, go with Slim's...

Hey look, its now you chance to buy something you wouldnt normally, since its not out of your pocket.

I would go for 1 box of something you would usually thinks is too expencive. On Cbid you can go for the gusto with $100 bucks, well almost. Hehe!

Get something special. Heck its your birthday!

Here is what I did. Objective – Get 2 boxes of Maduro I have not tried before and spend about $100. Plan A: 1- Box of Vintage Cupido Toro Negro and 1- Box of Astral TVS Churchills- Results: Got outbid at the last minute on both deals. Plan B: 1- Astral TVS sampler 8ct, 2X - Flor de Oliva Grand Sampler Churchill 12ct, 1- Leon Jimenes Maduro Series Robusto -5 pack, 1- Flor de Oliva Grand Maduro Torpedo 5 pack, 1- Onyx Reserve Torbusto Results: Won everyone but the Astral and Onyx. Replacement, 1- Oliva ‘O’ Maduro Orion 5 pack. and 1-Titana Ashtray. I was a little disappointed I didn’t get the Astral TVS and Onyx because I hear they are good smokes. OBJECTIVE MET – Thanks for the input

I would go with the Onyx Reserve at about $40 and 5 vegas torpedo or robustos at $30-35, and a 5 pack or two with the leftover.
