Hey guys. This is my first post, but I've been visiting this site for some time now. I'm a relative newbie smoker, as I've only been smoking for a year and a half, so your discussions are a lot of help. A little about me - student at the University of Georgia; 21; love cigars football and golf; and I have already spent a ton on this site.

So for my first question - drum roll please - what does everyone think of Licenciados. Good, bad, good value? Any comments will help.

Also, so far I've bought some Colorado's by Don Lino, Thomas Hinds Vintage, and Astral TVS's. I know I like the TVS's (one of my personal favorites for the price), but I don't know a lot about the other two. Give me a little insight. Did I blow my money, or do I have some good cigars to look forward to.

hey nwb, welcome to the board!
I am also a college student so I know how you feel. I too spent way more at this site then I could have ever imagined that I would. Try not to bid on items that you haven't ever heard of just because they are good deals. I did that when I was new to the sight and it resulted in a lot of crap that I won't even smoke anymore. Spend the extra couple of bucks and go for the good stuff. As far as the cigars you mentioned, I have smoked the don lino's and the TH's and both are pretty decent everyday type smokes. If you're looking for more budget smokes, I recomend: 5 Vegas, Cupido, Mayorga, and La Rosa Especials. All are pretty good and can be had for around $1-2.
regards, Bill

Thanks for the help. I was just so intrigued by the good deals they have on this site, and I went into a buying frenzy. But sadly I have no more money. Have any experiences with Licenciados? I've just heard great things about them and you can get them for just over 2 dollars. Oh, and by the way, what school do you attend, Bill?

Welcome aboard...

What bildo said... they are all pretty decent cigars.

Keep your eye on the boards and a lot of guys and gal post reviews on cigars. Usually reasonably priced ones.

Beware the "dead horse" questions or you will have to deal with the "Lord of Discipline"... Slimboli !!!

Everyone gets "slim-slapped" now and then !!!
