My first post here, though I have enjoyed looking through the forum for a few days. My name is Andrew and I am the president of the cigar club at Iowa State University. Stumbled onto this web-site not too long ago, and can’t wait to collect dues again so we have some money to spend, though I‘m going to start using this site for stocking my own humidor right away. I’m a HUGE fan of CAOs as our most of the 50 members of the club. (Thank you's to Torano and Bucanero who have very generously helped get things off the ground at the ISU Cigar Club, and most of all thanks go out to Jon Huber @ CAO for all the cigars and CAO gear) I look forward to using this site, talking to everyone on the forum, and maybe picking up some new cigar knowledge to share.

Welcome indeed! Wish I would have had a CBid for cigar purchases when I was in college. Matter of fact, wish I would have had a cigar club to access in college. As an older, more experienced man of the world, I must take this opportunity to warn you and your club members of the dreaded CBid addiction. Mastercard spinning out of control, autobid messages filling the e-mail queue, running to the mailbox every week like a child waiting for a Christmas catalog ... I'd like to continue, but I think someone's messing with my Oliva O bid ...

It's a new thing at Iowa State, we just got it started this year, and it's caused a good deal of controversy.... the school thus far has refused to fund us like all the other clubs are, so we've been relying somwhat on the charity of companies like CAO torano and bucanero..... poor college students = not able to get many good smokes on our own.

I'm originally from Minnesota so my natural inclination is to make fun of folks in Iowa (every state has a rival it teases), but I'm so impressed by your college cigar club idea that I can't bring myself to be mean. Welcome.

Welcome Scratch! And remember, NO OVERBIDING! and watch those college girls and remember, “No means NO!”, unless it’s yes, in which case, (use protection). And no binge drinking!!

ducati, what kind of engineer are you? You've probably mentioned before, but i'm too lazy to look else where. I'll be graduating with my B.S. in Chemical Engineering in a Month.
