Last night I decided to be a nice guy for the wife. Garrett turned 1 month old Tuesday and my wife has been unbelievable. She takes care of him all day long, when I get home from work I send her to bed and take care of the 8:00 and 11:00 feeding/changing, she does it every 3 hours other than that. Last night, I said "honey, go on to bed, I take care of him tonight." So I had him in his car seat in the living room and I sat up all night on the boards and slept on the couch so as not to wake her.

Well... Do you remember the TV show Rowan and Martin's Laughin? Remember Ardy Johnson who played the dirty old man in the park? That's what I looked like when I got up and "tried" to move this morning... Needless to say, the first order of business was a trip to the chiropractor.

Feeling better, but not up to the chores I had planed. So instead? I'm on the couch (sitting) with a lumbar pillow and the windows open, and a Conie Maduro that's been aging for at least two+ years! It's probably 5.5 x 42? And it is a FABLOUS smoke! These are bungled cigars that can be had for a song. Proof to the post the other day that cigars definitely don't have to cost to be top shelf smokes.

The wife is out with the crumb cruncher, so It's a herfin day for me. I'm thinking of following this up with the 858 sun groan discussed previously. I'm thinking of throwing my back out more often! I had back problems once, and thought they were behind me...

I was trying to smoke a Padron Delicias while reinstalling the sink in my "new" bathroom. The smoke kept getting in my eyes under the sink so I'm here taking a break. LOL

Well the 858 sun groan is "on deck". Instead, I opted for a VERY interesting and unusual cigar. It's a Habano. It was gifted to me from Groucho. I believe he said it was a Partagas. But it is part of a twisted/stranded cigar. I think originally there were 3 smaller cigars, perhaps 36 ring? and appx 6 inches long which were twisted together. He untied them and gave me one of the three strands. It is a very interesting smoke indeed. It's on the mild side of medium for me, but I can taste the Cuban Tobacco. It has that characteristic "twang" and spice of a Habano. But it looks like it went through the wash in my back pocket! Is anyone familiar with these?

I found out what it is, "Now for the odd shaped cigars: Figurados Types (Irregular)

Culebras - This is a strange cigar or actually cigars. The cigar is actually three cigars twisted together. You smoke each one individually. Their length is five inches and their ring size is about 33."

So it's one of the three stranded cigars, but I don't see a reference to Partagas Culebras anywhere. It's not bad, quite decent infact. Unbanded and looks like a Backwoods! nice dark ash, almost black.

xrundog, you're supposed to untwist them and only smoke 1 at a time. LOL

I smoked one that was gifted to me by jjohnson and the guy next to me offered me a cigar that hasn't been sat on. DOH!

Thanks for the tip Mr. Mean, I noticed a hole in the floor so I covered it with a toilet. It works much better now.

My culebra was very nice. But it was a little weird. Now, on to the 858 Sun Groan!! Yeah baby!! IMHO, you can't beat these with some good age on them. They're a bit rough for some when they're young. I really like a fuller body spicy smoke, but also enjoy medium body styx as well. When it comes to flavor and spice, this Fuente has Plunte!! Perfect construction and draw, nice dark brown wrapper, and the tell tale long white ash. Ahhh, relax and enjoy a fine cigar!
