Anyone that thinks when you volunteer to be a human shield will make a difference has a few loose screws. I am sad to see that he got shot, but they do not even know who shot him. Perhaps he should think about where he is before exercising his God given American rights! As the saying goes, "When in Rome...."

Personally, I think some of these activists should work on developing some common sense before they take action.

THE DOG'S NAME IS TOTO. NOT TOE TOE
I HAVE TO SAY I AGREE WITH RICK, WHICH IS A SITUATION I RARELY FIND MYSELF IN. IF A PERSON FEELS STRONG ENOUGH ABOUT A CAUSE TO TAKE A HIT HE/SHE HAS GREAT RESOLVE. HOW MANY OF US CAN SAY WE FEEL THAT STRONGLY ABOUT SOMETHING.

INTEL, NO NEED TO SHOUT AT US!!

Just because someone gets killed or maimed acting on their convictions doesn't mean that they are more committed than another person. There is a thing called common sense that I choose to use when acting on my convictions. I happen to be happily married and have a family that loves me. I choose to put them in the equation and choose to act on my convictions in a way that will not get me killed or hurt.

Speaking for myself, I feel strongly about a lot of things and yes I act on them. I just choose to use my common sense when I go about acting on my convictions. There are numerous causes that I choose to support, but I will not go into that here as I do not want to steal this thread. I just wanted to make the point that because someone gets killed or hurt acting on their convictions doesn't mean that their convictions are stronger than those of us that choose to stay out of harms way. I will be more than happy to argue this point further if you choose to open a new thread.

I'll Raise my Hand to Taking a Bullet for my Strong Resolve!!!! but I'll be damned if I'm going to take one without following the Rules of Engagement!!!!

as Hoagie said When in Rome...
you cannot leave the united States and expect to not follow the Customs,Curtisies and Laws of the host Nation as to where you are visiting.. and like almost all media coverage and especially story's coming from this clown.. do you really think the Woman Fell Down in front of the Bull Dozer?? I'm Sorry... I think she thought she was in New York and Blocking Traffic... and his story sounds like he was in East LA walked out of his house when he heard shots... maybe he should have lived in E. LA before venturing to another Country to try and stop Bullets... the Israilies have dealt with enough Suicide Bombers and crap to disrupt their lives then to have to deal with someone from the USA standing in front of their Obectives

The saying goes....Don't take a knife to a gun fight....You have to wonder why they think putting themselves into the middle of a fight is OK and they should be spared injury? Someones going to get hurt when bullets start flying...Sad that he got hurt but that's what happens in war, scurmishes, conflicts ( whatever you want to call this )
Stupid is as stupid does!!!!!!!!

whoa there baba louie!! I just read what this post is about. HAHAHAHA!! I think this is Darwin at work!! I laughed HARD when that idiot was run over by the bull dozer in Israel. These people are getting a good damn dose of what they deserve if they're over there trying to come between the Israelis and the terrorists. Yeaup, Darwin at his finest!! Ok, bring on the obligatory disgust, shock and horror with my casual attitude for human life. Go "enjoy" yourselves! Some people are put hear to serve as an example of what not to do... and these folk are a fine example...

""Brian was shot in the face, and it looks like he was hit by a heavy caliber bullet because of the extent of the wound."

Avery was taken to a Jenin hospital but will be transferred to an Israeli hospital. Karlsson said he was semiconscious when taken in the ambulance."

Sorry for the c&p, THAT'S GONNA LEAVE A MARK! I wonder how many more "protests" he'll be attending?

With all due respect I have to say Robby you are one well spoken individual your arguments are well though out and obviously based on a life time of experience to draw from. I only wish these less fortunate people who feel the suffering of the Palestinian people brought on by a group who are no less of terrorist group than the Islamic Jihad or Hamas needed to be defended, would only have had the benefit of your worldly knowledge. It is a fact that the ones who talk the most and the loudest usually have the least to offer the conversation, they only look for a response to see if their point of view is excepted. There are people who do and those who talk, right or wrong those people did, and you just talk.

The PLO don't want peace. Their mantra and all Arabs is one of destruction and incrementalism. Ever heard the words, "drive them in to the sea?" what might Israel do that would appease them, save rushing as lemmings to the sea? Were dealing with cultures festooned with intellectuals like "Baghdad Bob" who rants that they have us surrounded all over their country and that we're not at the airport? And people all over the Arab world believe him! With sentiments and extremism like this, what chance would Israel have if they didn't take a Hegelian approach to unrest? What would it take? They gave virtually every concession to that terrorist Arafat in Maryland in negotiations with Clinton and what did he do? He walked away from it. Why? Because if the boggie man isn’t there, he (Arafat) doesn’t have a job any more. To the sea, that’s their diplomatic approach. And they have a snowballs chance in Tartarus that it will ever happen…

It’s unfortunate, truly sad for sure, but there will never be peace between Israel and Arabs.

I didn't read the link. I rarely do.
So I can't jump on the POS bandwagon.
But I can comment on the other stuff.
Taking a bullet doesn't make your conviction bold, or your cause nobel.
Telling Mike Tyson he sounds like a a queer 13 year old will land you in the hospital. Your statement may be true, but the lack of common sense is absurd.
Don't admire people for the wrong reasons.
Stupidity is not a safe substitute for bravery.

There's a difference between standing up for what you believe in, and being a dumbass.

Also, Every move that Israel makes is in retaliation to some sort of cowardly attack from the Palestinians...and they're the terrorists. Go figure.....

heh, well said? which part? the fact that I just talk? Does intel know me? do you? what do you do for your palistinian brothers? What do you do for your Isrialli brothers who are smitten with human explosives? My taxes paid for one of those tanks, I'll tell you that right now, so I'll guarentee I'm contributing, and right where I want...

Watched a "True Life" show about young Israelis and Palestinians. At 11 the kids got along just fine. Professed love and kinship. At 17 they view each other as less than human. I would call it rascism except, to a large extent, they are racially the same. The hatred runs so deep, and they are so dismissive of each others arguements (many of which have validity) that there will be no peace anytime soon.

Robby study the history of the conflict, study about the Musat. Neither side are a bunch of alter boys. The victims are average people the ones just trying to make a live both Jew and Palastinian.

Robby – I’m at work…

Well said because you talk a lot, and you don’t do your intellect justice when you spout off these moronic statements without using one bit of thought. Glad you got enjoyment over watching someone die though…

Some peoples reason for being is to serve as an example (a bad one) and these people are doing yeoman's work at that. I think they should keep it up!! There are some pretty stupid people out there, I'm glad to see that they're taking themselves out of the gene pool... Wouldn't want them reproducing...
