Yeah, I've read that before. Well, reporting to you, live from my back porch (chain gun firing in the background), the thick oily haze in not from the burning oil wells in the distance. Alas, they are from the smoldering remains of my Bogas Robaina... I was underwilhelmied…
1. It had the old style tax stamp.
2. It lacked other distinguishing marks on the box. However, these were both readily explained by “my mule” as resulting from the fact that these boxes were pulled before they made it to the end of the line.
3. It had a very tight draw. Which could have been explained due to the fact that it was right OTT and perhaps needed some time to equalize and or “cure” if it was fresh.
4. It had a very uneven burn and canoed “heavily”.
5. it had a very “mild to medium” flavor . I’m told that the VRs tend toward the full bodied side.
6. Had to light a Savenelli to get some flavor and it was much better…
Again, I have gotten good sticks from this guy in the past. Sigh, the oldest story in the book, something for nothing… He’ll take them back. If you don’t mind, I need a moment…
