Do yourself a favor... Don't bother with these... (seriously this time) I post that a lot on good gars I like. I smoked one of these tonight. Or rather, I should say, I lit one. Took two puffs, and canned it. By canned it, I don't mean I put it up for another time in brine. I mean, it wasn't just merely bad, it was really most sincerely bad... (IMHO). Others may like them.

Robby,
Sorry to hear you didn't care for them... I am especially saddened seeing how I still got 15+ sitting in the humi. :-(

I think I will give them a few months before I pull them out to try. Thanks for the heads up.

Damn...
I just won a 5-pack...
Guess I'll put them at the bottom of the humi and forget they are there. Then I'll have very old dog rockets...Oh well. 5 more to pass out to the nonsmokers...

hehehe, sorry, that was a PSA, but opinions are like noses, everyone's got one, and mine smells. I'm truly amazed at some of the smokes people dog which I particularly enjoy. I'm sure some folks enjoy them, but I didn't. The may improve with time.

rck_1, PSD #4s? I don't have any of those. I did trade Smith for some EL #3's, I think I still have 2 of those. No #4s, but I hear good things about them on the board. I'm expecting a box of Robinias (sp) today hopefully!! Now all I need to do is squeeze the wife for a couple weeks of "allowance" to pay for um. She's not aware of my good fortune yet...

That is correct, Sir... This is the one that made me queasy. Although, I didn't think it was all THAT bad. It was pretty full bodied and burned perfect.
I think I'll have to give this one another shot. Maybe the nicotine did get to my head and affect my brain ??

Low

JD, try one and give me your opinion before you bury them.

Just remember the worst cigar you've ever smoked may in the box with one of the best. Last night I smoked a six year old 4 x 42 from the original Joya de Nicaragua factory.(no band, no cello, from an old closeout) It had lost its initial "oomph" but was a smooth and delicious smoke. Shortly afterward, I opened a new box of Astral Talanga Valley Selection. The first inch of that cigar was unpalatable compared to the well aged cigar I'd smoked previously. I debated whether to pitch it and try another from the box, but decided to give it another five minutes. It reminded me of the early Cabanas H2000 maduros. Once the cigar and my palate settled, I began to enjoy it, fully realizing that this box needs to rest for a year or longer. The cigar was still giving off ammonia and clearly needed age.
The Petrus Fortress Anjeo may be a cigar that appeals to some and others find distasteful. That's why there are so many brands and blends. I wouldn't form a final opinion until they'd rested in my cooler and fully stabilized. I couldn't count the number of cigars I've purchased, been initially disappointed, and later, found them to be excellent.

Steve, so you're saying it hurts a little bit at first, but if you relax and give it some time, you may start to enjoy it? Are we talking about the same thing?
