Hi again all...Just wanted to know if any of you have a secret place of getting your humidors. The already made kind :) I dont think i want to take that leap and make my own yet. I do have a humi im breaking in but its only a 50 count humi, and judging by what I ready here I am going to fill this pretty quickly. I was thinking it would probably be best to seperate cigars that were smelly :) you know like the Acids and what not.

personally i like smaller humidors, for as you suggested, seperating cigars. WARNING - FLASH - CHACITA BANANA SAYS NEVER PUT BANANAS IN THE REFRIGERATOR AND NEVER PUT ACIDS IN A HUMIDOR UNLESS YOU PLAN ON THAT BECOMING AN ACID HUMIDOR. ONCE USED FOR ACIDS IT WILL RETAIN THE ODOR EVEN IF YOU BURN IT TO THE GROUND AND SCATTER THE ASHES.

the coolador that Spiny Norman mentioned is a great idea. i cll it a cooler chest, samo, samo. i put boxes of cigars in it and stand them on their end, head down. i don't rotate them so at least if the cigar starts to dry, it will dry from the foot equally down the cigars. i use a 4 X 4 tupper with no lid and a 3 X 3 by 2 piece of oaises. either the pg works or it doesn't. all of the coolerdors, or chest are outside in a room behind the garage, with no real threat of heat or cold. i don't check them with a hygrometer. the cigars are packed in ceder boxes. i can't think of any improvement.

does any one know how to spell ms banana's first name?

it's Chiquita...and as for coolerators, the best thing is to order some steaks from Omaha Steaks and use the styro-cooler they come in. It's definitely airtight (they pack in dry ice) so you've got to open it every once in awhile to keep from getting stale air in there.

Is dry ice good for cigars? Is that like cutting off your head and storing it in liquid hydrogen?

Store Acids in trash can! IMHO that is the best place for them.
