Or when you've bid and won the previous week, and the bid you just won closed on Thursday? And your gars just shipped? So you're getting a shipment next week? So you'd better get a few more 5 packs? Since you're already paying for shipping?? It's evil... Evil I tell you...

Its off topic I know, but I really hate it.

I did that accidently two weeks ago, at first was upset, than made it a positive, figured I just had to buy more cigars to make since of the shipping charge I was going to get for the one item. When wife questioned why I received shipments two weeks in a row, (usually order every three weeks), I told her one of the few white lies, (hope this is racially/politically no improper), that the second shipment was a back order.

All is well

last weeks shipment

Bootlegger's Sweeties Amaretto - Pack of 5 $1.00 5 of 5 plus 7.95 shipping. samplers 3.95 for the first + a buck each for the rest. i must be more careful

this week

The Bohemian Revolution Dos Capas - Predator .650 (25) 1 of 1 at $58.00

The Bohemian Revolution Dos Capas - Hawkeye .750 (25) 1 of 1 at $52.00

shippingh for first $6.95 1.00 for each box or sampler, or 50 cants each 5 pack.

both of these retail at cigar int for over $120.00.
i just ordered a box for $122.00. let's see if i amortize 3 boxes, 75 cigars, with a total cost of $232.00, that's $3.00 each. when i sell the empty ammo boxes on ebay and get $25.00 each and factor that in, the cost will be $2.00 each. i haven't factored in the price per inch yet. i may upscale from the bad frogs and bad tadpoles. either of these in a humider will warp the box.

eye surgery two weeks ago, almost a heart attack yesterday, paramedics, fire engines, sirens, flashing lights, the whole shaboom and shebang. false alarm but worth checking. those guys are professional. i have never seen a group of 5 or 6 men work together so well and in this case for my interest. i wouldn't have mentioned it since it was a false alarm, but it turned out so well i wanted to mention my respect and admiration for the fire dept and the paramedics.

i celebrated coming home the same night with a monte #2.

in spite of all the wierd stuff in the last two weeks, i can still calculate cigar prices. but i have no idea what it costs for a quart of milk.

Gee Rick, glad you are alright.

You sound like a banker, amortize, one of my favorite words. Bankers are always good at justifying their actions, like if you don't look at the individual transaction, compare the pricing and amortize over time, all is well. And I guess better half buys the milk, while your outside smoking and calculating your next cigar transaction.

LMAO

Again glad your ok, you need to get more rest, too late on puter at night. I here late cause I'm working, but, after work, you don't see me online that much. Cool your jets a little bit, Groucho lived to a nice ripe old age, (at least the last time I saw him, he looked ripe and not just worn out), you need to follow suit.

i'm cool, i sleep until noon and start my day at 1 or 2 pm.

my dr is mid 50's and the way he goes at it, i'll be going to his funeral. both toby's and my family make it to the 90's, so i guess i could lease 4 more cars for 60 months each.

Rick highjacked his own thread.

Too many anchovies on the pizza, Rick?

AKA (Mag: all kidding aside), hope you are feeling top drawer again.

Guess you'll just have to bid on a few more the next several days. Like you weren't going to anyway.

My solution to the problem is to get others hooked on C-Bid. I bid for them, then have everyone split the cost of shipping. Even have some coffee junkies in my co-op.

( If it keeps growing, I may get a listing on the NYSE.)

Oh Boy, Do I know the feeling! I swear I'm just gonna browse, then some listing shows up that I just can't resist. Of course then it would be a shame not to take advantage of the shipping deal. I seem to be a once a week regular stop for the UPS guy these days!

Great outlook Rick,

All my grandparents lived into there late 80's/90's. My grandfather on my Dad's side lived to 96, his mother lived to be 98. My grandfather had open heart surgery two years before his death, prior to the surgery, he asked the Doctor what would happen if he didn't have the surgery and the reply was he would die. So he asked the doctor what would happen if he had the surgery, and the doctor said he had a 10% chance of surving the surgery. My grandfather said, hell, going to die anyway, lets do it.

What a great additude. He died October - 1993 after living a full life, exactly 30 days to his death my father died unexpectly on his 65th birthday. Go figure. I just hope longivity in my family skips a generation and goes back to my grandparents days, lol,.

Glad your doing well

Get better Rick and take it easy for awhile. BTW,Those BTR DC Predator's are a nice peppery smoke. I can't remember what the Hawkeye's tasted like as I only had one. As you know, they come in their own Humidor. No need to to find room in your sweaterdor. Post what you think of both them. Take care. X
