What are your thoughts?

I personally think it is was wrong for the Hall of Fame to cancel this event over opinions of actors. Look at all of us on Cbid, we have so many different opinions but we all get along fine. Politicizing baseball is not good for the game.

The way I heard the story was they were afraid of the backlash. Mr.& Mrs. Sarandon should've thought about their behavior and how it would impact their fellow man and wallets a LONG time ago! They'll be more types of these incidents. I think a simple, "Uh...America, I won't take this great nation and it's citizens, large and small for granted anymore, and I'm sorry for what I said" speech would go a LONG way in restoring some broken relationships! We'll see, but the past tells me that they'll become more inflamed and more bitter!

OOOOHHHHH! NEW YORK (AP) -- Stung by anti-war criticism from Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, the baseball Hall of Fame has canceled a 15th anniversary celebration of the film Bull Durham that was to feature the co-stars.

"Susan Sarandon..." Nuff said.. I stopped by the block buster tonight to pick up a movie for me and the wife. I was browsing through, I picked up one that looked good. Saw her name on the cover. Dropped it like a bad habit...

Too bad, that Kevin Costner, big time baseball fan, who has made several baseball movies (Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, Name of the Game) will loose out because of these two (Robbins & Sarandon) leftist radicals!

Open mouth and bury your foot deep down inside.
