welcome to the board winters!
As far as the fidalgo's are concerned, i do not care for them very much. I thought that they were harsh and they have a tendancy to stain your lips teeth and hands. However some people here seem to like them, to each their own. If you like box pressed maduros I'd recomend MAYORGA. A great cigar that can usually be had here for about $2 each.

Well, regarding the Pimp Stick - I just had my first on Saturday and was very pleasantly surprised. The box and cigars pretty much caused the whole CBid order to smell pretty funky (I can't explain funky, but if you've smelled them, you'll know what I mean). I really enjoyed smoking the P.S. and am looking forward to the next four.

One question for the CBid experts - Can I smoke all those loose leaves that come in the box? Or is it like eating the garnish (or worse, the wrapper on a tamale)???

Welcome winters...

I have a 5 pack of the Def Sea's but have not tried one yet. I also asked about them and seemed to get mixed reviews. Seems that people either love them or hate them.

winters, like the fidalgos, don't like purfumey cigars though. Can't go wrong with CAO's or R&J.

bildo, Mayorga's are good as with Santa Rosas and other "black" cigars . As for the colour on your lips and teeth, I don't mind it. If you want, you can LIGHTLY wash off the head under a trickle of water.

Good choice on the Brazilia ...

If you don't ask about cello on or cello off, you'll be welcome to the group ... (you see, we're quite divided on the subject) ... the majority among us, however, prefer to take the cello off the cigar before lighting it, but I think I'm safe in speaking for that majority when I say that a couple of your choices would probably be improved by sparkin' 'em up with it on ...

Of course, that's just an opinion ... if you like 'em, smoke 'em and don't let anyone here make you feel bad about it ...

Egruff,

Does Zig-Zag make a rolling paper that big?

Here's something you can do with the leaves.
I'm not big on the perfumy type smokes myself but I have some friends who are. As an experiment, I took some less the stellar, (mild) cigars and stuck them in an "Acid" box with those packing leavesand a credo. After a month, they had taken on the flavor enough to noticably change the taste. Should get stronger with time. Certainly improved on the originals.

Oh, and welcome to you both......

Spiny Norman,

Thanks for the idea. Sounds like something Martha Stewart might try if (a) She smoked cigars, and (b) Wasn't on her way to the federal lockup for bad girls (E-chick: I don't mean anything sexist by "girls", I promise).

I was thinking that one of those neat cedar tubes that come on some cigars might make a great smoking device for the extra Pimp Stick leaves. Of course, the cedar might also ignite and give me 3rd degree burns. This is what makes life so interesting!
