thank you all for the kind things you said about my humidor .i made it from the ground up.the out side is 5/4 pine boards i got from work all had rounded ends.the glass door i came across .and all the hardware is off an old trunk someone was getting rid of .the corner angles are new 3/4 x3/4 alum angle .it also has an moisture plywood box on the inside .then its all filled with cider .air tight .i got an moist n aire system for it that works great .i know everone says 70/70 but this keeps 65/72 dead on .i found that it works best for this box and does not really do anything to the cigars .it 24"WIDE 24"DEEP AND 36"TALL.I HAVE ANOTHER ONE IN MIND TO BUILD .when i dont know it hard to find ,what i wont to make it out of ..is there is anything else you like to know you can email me at jojoscigars#gobi.com and ps there is a lot of room so i do not turn down a free stick from a fellow cigar lover like my self ..alway have room for one more .jojo

Why would you fill it with crushed apple juice? Still is great looking though.

I've always been curious to the results of regular cedar. Can you elaborate gulfspray?

American or "aromatic cedar" is extremely aromatic and penetrating. Ever pull a sweater out of a cedar chest and slip it on? Spanish cedar is a more mild and less penetrating scent. It is also less sappy than aromatic cedar. I have not had any personal experience with cigars aged in aromatic cedar, but I have read in various magazines that it will ruin a cigar in no time. Apparently they start tasting like the cedar smells, masking all other flavors and tastes that the cigar might have previously had.
