Got the shower from Home Depot this weekend. This is the second one... The last one 3 weeks ago taught me a little lesson about air foils and physics on the way home... They were nice enough to order me another one “free” (360 bux…) This one made it home o-tay. So I cut out the old controls, got some new onez, a torch, some solder, and viola! Pressure tested, works great!! Used the plastic fittings and plastic cement to fit up the drain in place.

Now all that remains is the shower installation (easier said that done). Will have to yank the potty out to make room for the exercise. Not next weekend, but the one after that. Yeash! 3 month project!!

Cut to size, hammer to fit, and paint to match.

i had a similar problem and called 1-800-rent a plumber.

i smoked a cigar, watched tv, and wrote a check when he was done. imagine the pride in my accomplishment, writing a check.

Voila? you have never heard of her... I think she is the one standing behind the Porsche in the picture post titled "Pop Quiz - again". I hear she is a plumbers helper... excellant at unclogging pipes... What Porsche?

heheh it's waala! Yeah, I could have paid a plumber, but it would have been in the 4 to 5K range... Bust out all the old cement on the walls and floor (a couple thousand pounds, lead aprin on the floor, cut out the rotter sub floor, re-inforce the floor joyce's, cut and reposition drain, replace sub-floor, cut out old plumbing fixture, replace with new. Then install new shower and complete finish work to make it look like it's been there all along...

I FEEL you pain...

The do-it-yourself shower/closet remodel that "WE" (read: my husband with his Gen. Contractor license) started in June of '02, just was finished in March...oy vey!

I finally had to make him think it was HIS idea to hire the drywall, tile, painting and other finish work out to get it finished!

Men...

Robby, when will you get it?
