I'm looking to fill a new coolerdor with some boxes. What are your top 10 or so under $4 at this site or elsewhere?

Thanks Gang,

BTW, I feel it my civic duty to bid low on most occasions and I'm not a super-heavy herfer. I just want to get some aging started so you shouldn't have to worry too much there. Of course I can't promise that no one else will read this

sketcha,

As a fellow newbie to CBid, here's a suggestion. Buy some samplers and a few five packs. You will wind up paying less than $4 in almost every case for decent smokes, and you'll realize that some brands just aren't for you. I have really enjoyed some so-so rated smokes, and disliked a few vintage/reserve/cabinet/special edition ones. I've liked the Padron, Perdomo, CAO, Acid, Oliva, and Fuente mixtures, so they get my vote to try. Once you smoke those, you can pull the trigger on some boxes.

That's my humble, novice opinion.

Good luck!

Eric

4 bux for 20 = 80 bux!? You can get pretty much all of the great stix on this site for 80 bux or less. Are you looking for "much less"? You should have a box of Onyx reserve. There are several sizes that come up here. That's a great smoke in the $50 or less range. Astral TVS, Cupido Toro Negro, How about some Buc Classico Maduro?, Excalaber, and on and on and on. Like I said, virtually all the yummins in this site are available for less that 4 bux.

Thanks Robby. I generally like the bigger stoges. Seems like there are a lot of robustos and such here. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

ERDM and anything by Torano are great cigars in your price range. Great construction and consistently pleasurable smokes.

You can get almost any Padron here for under 4 dollars. I tried a couple of these a long time ago, and did not like them that much. Then, after seeing so many people here that liked them a lot (especially BMW- this is the guy who unknowingly got me into Padron smokes. He was such a devoted smoker of them that I figured that I better try them again), I tried them again. I like them a lot. Especially the maduros.

I have tried a couple of Helix recently. I got them at a store in town that typically charges more than necessary and they were less than 4 bucks. They were pretty good. They are not at the top of my list, but fit your price range. For the price I thought they were pretty good.

Trilogy Native Cameroon - a GREAT smoke at a a very reasonable price - the Torpedo has to be one of the best bangs for the buck around - as good as many other real Cameroon wrapped cigars but at a fraction of the cost ----and they are always available on this site.

docrks: thanks for the tip...that's one I haven't tried yet.

Just my 2 cents worth, since I enjoyed the more full bodied, spicy smokes, I have to recommend ERH: Habano Clubs. Decently priced, and just a good stiff smoke. Always in my rotation, and one of my go to cigars when I want a pure power smoke...no surprises.

Like other members have said, many good cigars available in that price range...it's just a matter of taste and preference. AT CB and CI, many to chose from and at very good prices....enjoy.

O.K. I should've been more specific. I prefer to pay $2 or less whenever possible. $3 is alright. $4 would be for something special... sorry Robby, that doesn't mean you. I mean I'm sure you're worth it and all but "I just don't go for those back door shenanigans" (Homer Simpson).

Thanks to all of you for your advice.

Ok Sketcha,

If you like Maduros, La Rosa Especial is the best cigars for the price on this website, It is a Robusto, but, you can smoke it to the nub without burning your mouth. Theres a lot of Toros you can't do that with. This is an absolute wow cigar. Search the post to see what is others have said about this cigar

Yes and next time be more specific, wasn't being a smart, but, there is a ton of cigars that meant your original post.
