Having not seen soap dishes for sale on CBid, i don't think I will be breaking any rules. I have looked high and low for these puppies and can't find them. The clerks look at me like I am a throwback to the 60's. They say " don't you know hotels provide soap now? You don't have to take it with you anymore." Any help will be appreciated.

Pick a small tupperware container or one relevant to the size of 'dor you want to humidify. Drill some holes in it. Cut the oasis to fit, mix up some PG and distilled water and there you are.

Thanks jd1... That was my backup plan but wanted to do the soap dish as my first choice. Haven't seen too many tupperware bowls just the right size.

I used tupperware in the generic sense, but I believe most are made by rubbermaid. They come in an umpteen number of sizes. Check that "W" store or equivalent.

Try the 'camping' section of any store that sells that kind of thing ... and get one of those 'soap holders' that carry soap when using showers at campgrounds, swimming pools, gymnasiums, schools, outdoor showers or at the beach.

... cost is about $1.19 to $1.50 ...

I've found them in $1 stores and/or drug stores in the travel area.

Walgreens ... I picked up a nice one there

Most grocery stores (in the same aisle with the bath soap) ... the clerks don't know what the hell you're talking about, but the merchandise is there ...

Walmart has a particularly good (and inexpensive) selection of highly suitable tupperware-style containers ...

believe me, finding something that will work well just isn't a problem ...

I was at Walgreens, and I was going to get one, but I dropped it, and I was too afraid to pick it up...

you really need to get out and shop more. any time you hear about a new store opening, wander through it. it's not necessary to buy anything. after a lot of wanderings, you'll know where to get things when the need or want arises.

of course i am an obsessive shopper, so take it with a grain of salt, which is on aisle 8 at albertson's, on isle 5 at ralph's, and the back wall at wal-greens.

Believe me, I have been out shopping! My wife broke her ankle three weeks ago and I have been doing ALL the shopping. I've looked in Albertsons, Walmart Village Market, Super Walmart and Med-X Drug. No soap dishes. Maybe here in Okla. we don't use soap. LOL!
