I recently purchased The Allman Brother Band at Fillmore East(LIVE & remastered). I saw it listed as one of the top 100 albums on VH1s ultimate rock albums, and was interested enough to buy the CD.
I am completely saddened that I didn't buy this CD sooner, this is one of the most incredible displays of pure improvisational rock that I've ever heard. Gregg Allman's voice is never better, and to think he was only 23. Duane Allman and Dickey Betts shine with their incredible solos throughout the whole album. The best way I can think of discribing them is if you were to cross the best parts of CCR with the masterful blues guitar rifs and rythems of Led Zepplin.
I realize many of you probably have albums from ABB, but if you don't have this one you're missing out!!
