Attended a CAO cigar tasting in Nashville yesterday. I was the only one that showed up to spend the day. Talked tobacco with Tim Ozgener. Talked to Jon Huber and Adam Shepard for awhile. All nice fellows! Got some tasty smokes and smoked a couple too. I think I smoked nonstop for 5 hours. Had a pretty good nicotine buzz from a CAO Maduro Chuchill followed by a Brazilia Samba. CAOs will taste even better with this memory.

Sounds like you had a good time. I hope that I'll have as good as time at the C.A.O. Crillo tasting on May 15th here in Cincinnati. I can't wait for it. I will be an all afternooner as well.

Wish I could have gone to that, but too far away.

Check the CAO website. They have a list of events, dates and places. They are having quite a few at many locations. The big push is on for the new criollo. Nicaraguan puro that. Very nice cigar.

Doh!! I meant Criollo in my previous post. That is the cigar they are show casing at the tasting in May. Anyone else from Cincinnati going? It'd be good to put a face with the name if you are...

hoagie - I wish I could make it...only a 45 minute drive, but I think I'll be near DC for work that week (at least Monday and Tuesday)...I won't know if I'll be back in time and won't find out for another couple weeks. Do you have to register or buy tix or anything?

ksinger,

No, you do not have to do anything other than show up. Send me an email and I'll let you know the name of the shop that is hosting this event. They are also hosting a Fonseca event this Thursday if you are interested. kyhuntsmanat yahoodotcom.

you're a luckydog, xrundog ...

I'm jealous ... CAO is one of the best lines on the market and you got to spend a bunch of one-on-one time with them and allow them to weight you down with freebies !!! ... oh, yeah! that was worth the drive

Well, I'm not so sure that I'd drive 3+ hours to meet 'ME,' (lol) but everyone at CAO really appreciated xrundog going the 'extra mile' (or extra coupla hundred is more like it!) to show his support...

xrundog, it was really great meeting you and getting the opportunity to 'chat' - the pleasure was all MINE. Hope to meet more cbid folks at future events...
