This is the #4 cigar in the set of 1-10 mystery sticks provided for review by the esteemed penquin13

#4 is about 5.5x36. The prelight aroma was cedary but that description defies somewhat the actual flavor/complexity of this cigar. It was disappointing as well because in the strong backlight of my patio, you could see the first signs of ploom covering this one. Firm draw yet enough smoke to keep it going. Mild and not building the the level of medium like the prelight aroma would suggest.

Light brown wrapper; slightly veiny but not too much; even burn with an off-white ash. I was hoping this one would build but it just wouldn't get there. Woody, earthy flavors that didn't sit well as I've graduated to more spicy full bodied sticks.

On a scale of 1-10 penguins, #4 rates 4 penguins.

What is it?

The good news is, I guess my Rubbermaid humi is working better than I thought :) The bad news is I don't know which cigar that is. The list is at home and of course, I'm here at work. So, it will have to wait untill tonight to get your answer.

First signs of ploom huh....cool!

The flood lights shine on my patio and when I sit with my back to them the bright light really gives a good view of your smoke and you can really make out great detail on the wrapper, especially the ploom. I should take some pics next time and zoom in on them.

I agree Mean, the size fits with a MM ISOM and when coupled with the lack of complexity and the age/lack of strength. Now I really want to know!!

jd1 - How did it burn? Could you tell if it was long or mix filler?

jd guessed ISOM on mystery stick #1. I think he's being more cautious. Another good review though. Now ..."the waiting is the hardest part."

This looks like a great idea! Pengie, did you make the same packages and send them to a few people? and number the sticks, 1, 2, 3, etc...? Then see if they could guess by smoking them what they were? I've given sticks to people w/the label off and had them guess when the smoked them. I think this is particularly telling and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Robby - JD is the first on this board. I've done this to other friends but not a long distance one. I allready have two more packages made up. A bit smaller, 4-5 sticks in each, but higher quality. I'm just waitng to see who I'm going to give them too. I have a pretty good idea but I don't want to spoil the surprise :)
