Will that be smoking or nonsmoking?

While I parked the car, my family went in the cigar-friendly steakhouse and my wife asked for the smoking section. That's the first time in 11 years of marriage. After the steak I lit up.. and the table behind us asked to be moved. My first offensive smoke. :-)

heh love when non-smokers are offended when we start to smoke in what little designated areas we still have

I have had the same experience - and they're usually cigarette smokers to boot! I did have one opposite experience in the same situation. I lit up after a good steak dinner and the woman across from me kept looking over. When they got up to leave she walked over and I thought "here it comes". When she got there she said "I just had to tell you that smells sooooo good." Her husband chimed in "I wish I'd have brought one along."

If you lived in California, Florida, or New York, you would have to get used to nonsmoking only.

I think it would be good "cigar-relations" to only smoke GOOD mild cigars in public eating places. I've experienced someone lighting up his after dinner Phillies while I'm still eating & it does stink.

Just to be clearer, they were smoking cigarettes at the other table. I had the Ambrosia Vann Reef which has such an aromatic aroma that my wife does not mind the smoke. I was trying to be nice. My two daughters where right there at the table and it didn't bother them. I would never take a el-cheapo to a public place and light up.
