Was poolside at my Sister's house saturday celebrating my Mom's birthday with an Ashton VSG when sis brought out a huge platter of chocolate covered strawberries.
What an incredible combination of flavors! Musta had 15 to 20 of those things before I nubbed the cigar.
Anyone else have a similar experiance?

Funny you mention this! Easter Sunday I was visiting the family when my mother brought out dozens of Chocolate and White Chocolate covered strawberries. I enjoyed them with a LGC Wavell Maduro. It was very tasty! I've really come to enjoy a cigar with a variety of foods.
My latest discovery since I've stopped drinking alcohol is Apple Juice. It really does go well with a good robust smoke.

I'm smoking the Ashton VSG Corona Gorda that I was going to smoke last night but feel asleep. It looks like a chocolate bar, does that count?

The VERY best is Saranac Old Time Root Beer with a full flavored cigar.
Take my word, if you like root beer, you'll love this combo.

Saranac, eh? Never heard of that, but I do love IBC Root Beer (and their cream soda). Ever had it? How does it compare?

3 egg salad samiches with enough roach eggs (pepper) to give it some nice color, a big mug of CDM coffee and an Antano 1970 robusto grande. Breakfast rarely gets better than that.

I agree with choner. The sweetness is great with a full bodied smoke.

damn, nice to see I'm not the only one who loves vanilla Coke with a cigar. Love the sweetness too. Tailor made for Padrons, I say.

I wonder if dark chocolate is better than milk chocolate when it comes to cigars...hmmm...
I usually only drink while having a cigar...do the martini olives count? I like the jalepeno and the garlic stuffed ones...

Strong black coffee, creme brule and a Hemingway Classic. The vanilla and toasted sugar of the brule mix with the coffee and the Classic for an incredible after dinner treat.

Try Kona coffee with a little cream and unrefined sugar (in brown envelopes) with a maduro cigar. The Brazilia GOL is an excellent choice for this pairing.
Bavarian Chocolate coffee with a maduro cigar is also very good. Padron is an excellent choice here.

I read somewhere that Brooklyn Brown Ale is a good pairing to a full bodied smoke, but I prefer Leinenkugel Big Butt Dopplebock. I think because it doesn't have as many flavors to conflict with the cigar flavors.

It's funny you guys mention apple juice. Maybe that's why Fuente is pairing his Forbidden X with an extra aged Calvados (apple cognac). Slimboli has a nice picture of it from www.cigarinthebottle.com
Can't wait to taste that stuff. I'll probably have to become a high roller in Vegas to get one...too bad I don't have that much cash to blow...
