about a year ago i went to mexico with some friends, i bought some "cuban cohiba's", they were obviously fake but they werent very expensive (the guy gave me a deal for the cigars if i bought a blanket), what was curious about one of em was that the wrapper was 2 colors, spiraled together
maduro and natural, has anyone else ever seen anything like this??

Arturo Fuente makes a cigar with that kind of wrapper. Go out to their website for more information.

Hugo Cassar made one of these spiraled natural/maduro cigars a few years back. Haven't seen them anywhere for quite a while--maybe they all migrated south of the border.

I think there was something called a Penguin that was a striped cigar.

I recall there was a Fittipaldi like that that was getting rave reviews. Never actually saw one though.

I saw a spiral wrapper on a cigar today, they were Santa Clara Bolerol Fiest. A mexican made cigar. I did a yahoo or google search on "Santa Clara Bolero" when I got home. Check it out.

Lone Wolf did a special line for Santa Claus during the cigar boom years. As I recall, there were Reindeer Rockets (maduro), Elfin Magic (Columbian filler), Rudolf's Rockets (corojo wrapper) and what you have there, which I believe is the super-rare Candy Cane ...

Santa Clara has one of these barber pole cigars. It's an all mexican cigar. I'll bet the merchant just put a fake band on one of these.
