I just wanted to see how many people on here like Drew Estate cigars. What are your favorites and dislikes. I enjoy mostly all Drew Smokes, but particulary the Naturals. However Acids and Ambrosia's are a nice kick when needed. My favorite has to be the Blackout!

I'm a fan of the Kuba Kuba and I'm waiting for a 5 pack of Kongs from CI. I love the IP line. I bought a box of 3 Kings. Those little guys are great, you'll burn your fingers before you burn your mouth.

Ambrosia last night after a steak dinner and Pimp Stick this morning on the patio. Like some in all categories and smoked every single type.

I've really only had the "Green Hero" out of the Natural line, but I really enjoyed it. Its not a powerhouse, but they are a solid, everyday stick

I've enjoyed everyone that I've had so far. I really like the Root from the Natural line as one of my favorite Drew Estate cigars.

I had a Def Sea the other night and it was good as well. I just smoked a Blondie a few minutes ago and it was a good smoke as well.

I have seen the top of the mountain as well, and it's "Nasty", the flavor is un-surpassed! A 20-minute lunch break, that leave's you satisfied. The "Extra Ordinary Larry" is a afternoon on your day off, The "Earthliness and Cold Tea" are.....well, fellow drew tokers....need i say more? I was told by a fellow toker that when im outbid on CI, that yahoo has alot drew's. If anyone interested, as I know how hard it is to find these find cigar's in stock.

I am glad to hear that others enjoy the uniqueness of Drew Estate as well. I must agree that all of the smokes mentioned are in deed good. Has anyone tried the Medusa? Surprising little treat when you unwrap that crazy thing. Webkev, I agree that drew's arent always the easiest to find, but is'nt searching for them half the battle???

Webkev, its not only is it rude, but it's also against the rules to mention a competing website. Just a reminder.

I like quite a few (Pimp Sticks, Acid, Natural, etc.). There's an article in the recent issue of Business 2.0 on Drew Estate - it's interesting. They push the limited edition status of the brand, and state that it's very hard to find - They say prices are around $10 a stick??? Makes me think my issue from two years ago got lost in the mail...

jimmys,

The magazine is Business 2.0. I think it's the April issue (you can probably find it online - do a search).

Finally smoked a blackout double torpedo, 1 of 4. It was fantastic. I'm already pissed now cause I only have 3 left. Very good smoke though. I also love the Jucy Lucy in this line and especially the C-notes in the acid line.

Scott

P.S. How bout the white rabbit? any good? I think it was listed as being a "dessert cigar"? I think Id like to try it if I can find one.

Drew Estates has done a fine job in their entire line of cigars. I usually buy the samplers and get a great selection. Blondie and Kuba Kuba are my favs...the only one I havent really liked from them is the Roam...just didnt do anything for me...

anyone remember Lars Teten....??

Hayseeds. I gave the White Rabbit a 4 on my scale. Wouldn't consider it a dessert cigar, but it's great for reading.. really comfortable.

The white rabbit was good, but had a tight draw if you ask me. The Blackout of course should be an everything cigar as it is my favorite of the Naturals. I still smoke Lars every now and then. I have a few now in my humi as a matter of fact. A good cigar, but I think that Acid's are much more aromatic......

gotta love the Nasty, looking forward to trying it's big brother, the Nefasto. Never see them on CBid. From the sampler box I scored on Cbid, and the Def Seas I tried, I have to say the Nasty is the most aromatic of the bunch for my palate. I am still smoking my way through the naturals and loving every one of them. So far I think I like the Dirt the best. Someone asked about the Medusa, they are a great, quick smoke. Taste is akin to an unflavoured Backwoods. If you only have 5 minutes, I loved the C-notes from Acid, and the Twigs from the Natural line. All in all, they were great smokes.

William: The Nefasto has been discontinued, and is no longer being made. Unfortunately, we have been sold out for some time, and will more likely not be receiving more. I apologize for the inconvenience. However, I will definitely admit that the Nasty was better in my mind :)

Quick DE poll...

I love these cigars, and thanks to many good folks on this board, have sampled almost all of the different lines... Acid, La Vieja Habana, Naturals, Ambrosia, ACID Ltd.(Def Sea), etc.

BUT, I find that 2 out of 5 are usually plugged or the draw is so bad, that I toss them. The La Vieja Habana line is better than the others, but Acid and Naturals taste great, smoke pretty bad. They all have their own humi's, and they usually sit a month or so before I smoke them. I am generally finding the construction quality sub par.

Is anyone else experiencing these same issues, or am I just having bad luck with the DE lines.

LMK...

PT :-(

The only draw problem that I have had with DE, was the white rabbit. It drew, but tight. I am not sure if this cigar is suppose to draw tight as it is a long burner or what? I also enjoy the La Vieja's. they are great for yard work and chores. I dont mind chewing on them, better than an expensive one!

I agree Jimmy's that the La'Vieja's are a fine smoke. Im glad Jonathan Drew brought these back as they are a classy cigar, with an affordable price.

The La Vieja is a great stick for the money. I stock three of them. I also have some of the past season La Viejas that appear to be the Perdomo version. Haven't smoked them yet, but won't be mowing the yard while I do.

Only ever had 4 plugged sticks, mostly from the Root line.

Dan, You are definetly an educated man when it comes to drew estate cigars. You mean you have the orig.La Vieja's from before the re-release? I am looking for the Ronin, I did find them on a website, but i refuse to surcumb to the NY State tobacco tax. How is it? Its like the blondie ,right?

webkev30. Your lucky day on the Ronin. Email me.

I appreciate the "educated man" comments but it is the other educated folks here that are educating me. See the pic post about the old La Viejas.

I did a box split with a buddy on the Roots, and ran into two that were plugged. If you let them sit out (dry box) for a day or two before you smoke them they are fine.
