Sandstorms in Iraq:

I am sure that all of you heard about the sandstorm in Iraq in March (the worst in 100 years some say) and the drenching rain that followed the next day. Our troops were bogged down and couldn't move effectively. Iraqi TV claimed that this was God's judgment on U.S. actions.

The media was already wondering if the troops were in a "quagmire" and dire predictions of gloom and doom came from some media.
What they didn't report was that the day after the weather had cleared, the Marine group that was mired the worst looked out at the plain they were just about to cross. What did they see? Hundreds if not thousands of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines had been uncovered by the wind and then washed off by the rain. If they had proceeded as planned, many lives would have undoubtedly been lost. As it was, they simply drove around them and let the demolition teams destroy them.

Thank God, for protecting our young men!

One person once asked George Washington if he thought God was on his side. His reply is reported to be, "It is not that God should be on our side, but that we be on His." In God we trust!

Enjoy!!!

Hog, I don't believe everything that circulates in my e-mail box. I have seen this story around many times but there has been no evidence of its truth. Here is a link to a very good site that deals with all those myths that circulate through e-mail.

Interesting. The thing is, there's no telling exactly what would have happened had they moved and the storms not occurred. Perhaps a chem/bio attack? Difficult to say, or maybe it was just coincidence.

One thing religion teaches is not to judge... Not to much piety going around these days...

I personally think Luke said it best, but I’m willing to bet (some large bucks) that 99% didn’t hear it…

Luke 6:37 - "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven"

chonor, ask Alie North he was with the Group... and in some of his previous reports he wrote back on he mentions what they had found after the dust had settled after these Storms... you can catch some of his articals on www.military.com (s) website... from there it will link you to previous postings from the man himself... and ya know what... he May have been charged in the Iran Contra BS... but I Like and Trust the Man!!!!!

the other reporter who reported on this was from fox news Leventhal or something like that was his name...

I don't believe all emails I get either... but this one stemming from true happenings only leads me to believe what I already knew.... and not to threadjack into something else... I think this post should ride as such!!!

Amen GOBP. Either way, there were a lot of people praying for our men/women over there. Maybe that had a lot to do with it.

Hey Hog,
I can't find the article about North telling of this story. I read his archive section and there is nothing he says about this. He does talk about the dust storm and how sand gets on everything. Can you please give me the exact link? And I watch Fox news alot, but never heard this story mentioned. Please give me some more links about this story if possible. Thanks.

Hog : I enjoy almost all your post but to ask me to believe what Ollie ( I swear on a bible sir I'm telling the truth ) North says after the way he lied to Congress about the Contras, no way. How can a person profess his love for God and at the same time put his hand on the Bible ( Gods Book ) swear to God he is speaking truthfully and then lie. I would like someone to explain this to me. Jon... it is not our place to Judge a man on weather he's telling the truth or not... and this is one thing Olly will have to deal with the big guy on his own...

Do you Actually know exactly what he or his family was facing with the Truths coming out? neither do I but I could tell you a few factual events that have happened in my life and dealing with the Government....

let me just say this... I have seen that Big Picture they always talk about!!!!

Everyone of us have our Own Convictions that we have to deal with on a daily... how we deal with them is our's and gods own accord... read the last part of the Original Post here... and GW's answer when asked... it tells it all...

Now back to the Original Broadcast... and Thank You Lord for Watching over our Troops!!!!!!!

We were out here in the Gulf during the sand storm. It was intimidating to say the least and we were no where near land. Heard about the mine story from the wife, sent a chill down my spine.
