Don't hear much about this brand on this site. I have a friend who enjoys the Mac Miniatures. They look (and to me they also taste) like glorified cigarettes. Are these in any way, shape or form a true premium cigar? Is the filler long, or simply crushed floor sweepings? How do they compare to the Ascot size in the same brand? I am trying to assist this friend in "graduating" to the next level of cigar smoking. His key criteria, apparently, are 1. time to smoke it, and 2. price per stick (NOT per puff, wise guys). Any information would be appreciated.

Can't say much about the Macs, but tell him to try the Partagas mins....definately taste more like a cigar than the Macs.

Why not try to get him to try Petite Coronas? Or stick to cigarettes!

I don't understand why so many people here seem to dislike macs, like it is beneath you to enjoy an mild easy going cigar. I happen to like the Mac Prince of Wales, their monster cigar, a very pleasant smoke, and I also like the Maduro Prince of Wales, again a very pleasant tasty cigar, and you don't have to stand at

I also like Macs, especially the Hyde Park Maduro! This is a good, whoops, great cigar and is always consistent in draw and flavor. I just happen to prefer fuller more robust cigars.

I know this post is about small mild cigars, but I just have to put in my 2-cents-worth -- the Mac Maduros are one of my favorites! Mild maduro but great flavor IMHO. I agree on the small stuff -- try to get your friend to try at least a petite corona. Really small cigars, again IMO, do nothing for me. I had Montecristo ISOM mini's and still got little flavor out of them.

Definately not beneath me to enjoy a nice mild cigar...and Mac's are a nice, well constructed, consistant mild cigar. I think the maduro line is much better ...still mild but lots more flavor. However...the price tag still bothers me.

Huh? I don't believe it has that aroma. You know anything I should know about the curing process? ....Yes, Bud, too pricey; that's why I buy them here.

I don't know why, but all Macs taste like they have been chemically treated. I never have liked them, but to each there own.

I think the Mac is a OK cigar, and enjoy smoking them from time to time. The mac robust, and maduro are mild but tasty smokes. It is a very good cigars to introduce new people to the pleasure of cigar smoking.

I despise Macanudos with every fibre of my being. I will smoke a Mac miniature from time to time at work, but I prefer the Cupido Chicos for a quick smoke. I like a little flavor with my smoke.

OK, Now I know everyones opinion about Macanudos. (Everyone, that is, except for Wany who refuses to post comment unless he's blasting someone about Acid/Lars). Anyhow, my original post was more in regards to the MINIATURE cigars. Are these REAL cigars? They smoke like a cigarette. Is that simply the size, or is the filler all chopped up?

I like Grabbing the Mac Ascott Robusto's for a quick smoke at work.. the Naturals do nothing for me but the robusto's have a little lasting flavor to them.. the thing with them tho now they got to pricy also...
why pay the same for a little when you can hold off till the end of the day to have allot?? as far as being real cigars I think so.. they dont taste anything like my Cigerettes do...

I believe the Macanudo mini that you are referring to is the only Macanudo machine made cigar. I still would try to get him or her to smoke petite coronas.
