Alright, it's time somebody asked. Anyone have any experience with these? Is this a good price, etc. etc.?

Since there are 500 of them, no one should feel threatened that they won't get any if they give a rave review right?

Look like W&D's to me. Which are of course Don Thomas seconds.

If they are anything like W&D's they are a good cheap smoke.

I don't know if there any good or not, but the price seems fair. The cheapest I saw them is for $67.00 for a box of 25

This might not help much, but it's what I found...
"Cigar Weekly Review"
Don Tomas Special Edition
No. 100
Cigar Details
Wrapper: Indonesian Jember
Filler: Dominican Piloto Cubano and Olor, Mexico
Binder: Mexico
Size: 50 x 7 1/2 inches
Style: Churchill
MSRP: $6.96
Cigar Weekly Review
Rating: 31.4 points out of 50

The cigars were well made and the Indonesian wrapper offered a beautiful white ash. The Special Edition is supposed to offer a more complex flavor than the regular Don Tomas line. Instead our reviewers found a mild and one dimensional smoke. The flavor wasn't objectionable, just non-descript with a short finish.

Have to agree with the above post. DT's are decent smokes, but a bit on the mild side....if you like mild sticks. The price is very good, but again, if that's your taste in cigars. Flavor is kinda one dimensional, but not bad if you like an easy morning or everyday smoke. Just my 2 cents.

Sorry. This reply is only to get the post back to the top. I posted it last night and some folks, in the know may have missed it.

Thanks to all who replied so far.

sketcha,
I just pulled one out of my humidor to smoke it last night. I got it from hokiebama in a trade 3 months ago. It wasn't really my cup of tea. It's true that the taste doesn't change much. It's not smooth which I look for in a cigar. Its smokable though.

But for that price, its a decent deal. I might just pick one up to give to those moochers that come over my place to smoke.

Good backyard project smoke, mild as hell (not good) but when you take a puff and sit it down to do something, who cares?

I pass on them, but they are worth the price.

Thanks gang. Yeah I think I'm gonna pass too. There are so many tasty $2 cigars to be had on this site, why spend $1.25 of my hard earned dough on these and shift cake away from the goodies? I do like the $.60 Encanto "Blowout"s though.

Sorry CBid. At least my cash will stay here, in the family.

Don't worry the high bidder is giving Cbid an extra $10!
