New Guys - What does your name mean?
51. Author: adroomiDate: Fri, 5/17/2002, 11:55PM EST
A girl I dated for a few years had a tiny tiny chihuahua that had parvo and after 30 days of feeding her with a medicine dropper, she came around. I then bought an 82 Dodge 1-ton, that blew up on me, and after 4 months, I finally rebuilt her and she's now going strong (I so named it Adroomi). A couple of years ago, I found myself in a pretty tight situation in Cambodia, and somehow or another I pulled out of it. I figured the name must be lucky, so I've stuck with it.

Adroomi

Sgt is my rank as a law enforcement officer and I have an affection for the skull and crossbones from my college days at East Carolina (Pirates).

first 3 initials of my last name + daddy (kids10yr/8yr). When the family was very young, the single guys at work would want me to go out with them and raise a little hell. I'd almost always have to pass due to domestic responsibilities. The name was affectionately used, and those guys were good people and good times.

61. Author: DrMaddVibeDate: Mon, 5/20/2002, 11:14PM EST
The name is an alter ego for Angelo Moore. He's the lead singer for my favorite band Fishbone. When he does his spoken word appearances he goes by Dr.MaddVibe. If you like the band then you'll like the poetry. Most of it becomes lyrics! I'm a cigar smoker and a Fishbone soldier.

was fiddling around with some magnetic refrigerator poetry at a friends house a number of years ago. put the word 'would' up and added the suffixes 'est' and 'ous'. thought it looked like a name, so i adopted it as my (rock star) alter ego. full name: wouldestous easyhair.

Klacto, I think there may be 2 other posters here besides me who knows what the hell you are talking about when you say Charlie Parker, and who have actually heard Klactoveedsedstene or Relaxin in Camarillo. Hmmmm, wait, I didn't see the movie, so maybe there's more. Cancel this post. I meant from about the time they were recorded.

I'll quick intro myself better than I did before. I'm a 19 year old going into the USAF(monday night I leave actually), and got introduced to cigars by some close family friends. My name is easy. I'm a jeep freak, and every jeep has a 2 letter designation from the factory. I happen to love Cherokees. The anti-round ones with the brick like dimensions. So it's a jeep cherokee(XJ). Here's a link to my ride if anyone wants to view it. It's after a nice day of offroading. My roof lights are crooked and it's a little dirty. http://images.fotki.com/v8/free/6b05/1/19904/35095/themachine-or.jpg

Well unless D/C starts making XJs again I'd consider it. I hope you don't try and push those bug eyed bastardized jeeps known as the Liberty KJ. : P Thanks for the offer, but I'll just keep ripping mine apart and putting it back together as LONG as I can. It's getting a new engine/tranny next year.

My first name is Ray and I am a Raider fan. Since Raider seems to always be taken by some other member of everything I sign up for I just put in my own spelling. Rayder1 at aol.com. Rayder at att.net. etc. Pretty much every newsgroup or forum I am on I use Rayder or Rayder1.

Chiba City is a central location in a number of William Gibson novels, particularly his classic novel, Neuromancer.

And it's never taken, so I can use the same username across a bunch of different boards .

99. Author: leon123Date: Wed, 10/16/2002, 3:21PM EST
Leon was the dumbest kid I ever met when growing up. He would do anything at the drop of a hat. He was to ingorant to ever equate cause and effect. When we were in our twenties he entered a tough man contest and never threw a punch for the first two rounds. He took the worst beating I have ever witnesses and then beat the other guy so badly in third round he was unconsciuos. So, thusly I have always idolized him for his freedom and lack of worries. The last time I saw him he had no teeth, no job, lived with his Mom and was happier than ever.

Leon ...Just say it....Leon

550025 is an old employee ID that was easy to remember. When you need a bazillion log-ons and passwords you get simple minded so this one stuck. I use it for misc ID's. Real name in Kenny V. Glad to be part of the group.
