Toto IV -

I've been struggling with the whole 'Toto fanaticism' going on lately - I mean...I had a number of Toto albums, but, hey...I was a kid....and I've sorta kept it secret many years...the freakishly pop nature of so much of their stuff was gross. But, listening critically now, it is impossible not to appreciate Lukather's guitar work. I Won't Hold You Back is a perfect example of why I struggle with them --- the song is almost sickening in its mushy balladish way...and then there's this stuck in the middle:

Blues Saraceno - Plaid

Dudes got some chops...sometimes he's Steve Vai, others Eddie VH...Michael Schenker...and then Pat Methany ...even a little Jeff Healy blues tossed in. Wish I'd heard of him sooner

Couple of highlight discs of Stevie Wonder's "At the Close of a Century."

Starting with 1972’s “Music of My Mind” to 1980’s “Hotter Than July.” Stevie made a lot of great music back then.

Haha, far from it. I can hardly play the ukulele and reading music is a foreign language. I just enjoy a wide variety of music and grew up during the “Golden Age” of rock ‘n roll, soul and many other music genres. I guess working in the record biz helped too.

Saw George and Billy at "The Spectrum" a long time ago.
GREAT concert, and afterwards, George came out on stage with some kind of religious pitch, with Ravi and other musicians. They played some weird "Indian" type music, and all the while, Billy was standing on the sidelines just boppin' away like he was listening to Chuck berry.
That man had SO MUCH rhythm !
Here he is when he was eleven years old, playing with Nat King Cole.
