I had a bottle of the 1792 BIB a year or so ago and thought it was exceptional. This bottle not so much. Presently, I would have to classify it average at best. |

My son got me a gift card for Total Wine, so I went and got myself a bottle of RedBreast 12 Single Pot Still at the recommendation of Celtic and then I also got a bottle of Glen Fohdry 12 Mizunara Oak Cask.
Looking forward to sampling both. |

Redbreast 12 is good.
Glen Fohdry 12 matured in Japanese Mizunara oak casks is damn good. 47.1% abv, too... it's most certainly a speyside, but those casks give it a hint of peat/smoke. Just a light touch of it... and it's just doin' it for me. Wow. |
