J B Roland Dark Fired Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 🥃 yesterday afternoon.
112 proof roasted corn with butter flavor. Never thought I’d pay $70 for a bottle. Was wrong.
I’ve never had better.

Gents, I love me some bourbon, but really only have experience with Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, etc.
Looking for a few reasonably priced ryes to try that will give me a good feel for what a rye should be.
Suggestions? |

Suggestions? I’m no expert but after trying a few, the one rye that I always come back to is Sazerac. Old Forester is pretty good too. |

Bib and Tucker small batch.
Told the guy at Total Wine I liked EC and asked for a recommendation... he pointed me to this. Said it was like EC, but more flavor... ok, I'll try it.
A tad sweet, strong on the nose, less flavor, more burn. I think I'll stick with you asshats for recommendations.
I'll drink it... but it is not better than EC. |
