Think it was 2013 when I never made the switch back to Nicaraguan when it got colder. I would smoke the occasional Opus X or Davidoff or Avo Hertiage/ELs. This year, for some unknown reason, I've started smoking quite a bit more nonCuban during these cooler months in South Texas. Still probably smoke more Cuban than anything else but the ratio is a drastic change. Taste buds: I find that my palate stays cleaner when I smoke Cubans almost exclusively. The Nics tend to leave a film on the tongue but Dr. Tung's Tongue scraper helps keep the palate clean and improves general mouth condition. Keeping a fresh mouth gives you more bang for the "twang"! |

Funny, now that I think about it, I recently said something very similar about a PSD4 from '10. Maybe the 2010 Bolis and Partagas are just now approaching my sweet spot. Might have to do a little rummaging |

For years I have cleansed my palate as follows a little water with lemon. Then a piece of French bread. The water with lemon would serve the same purpose as the apple. The French bread cleanses the lemon. |
