It takes some really special people to bid over the CI prices by that much. I'm not even that special. How can you not check retail prices before you bid? Idiots!

Chicora, PA only has a population of around 1,000. It would be interesting to see if any tech-type geeks could research: Does a "DZ" even live in that area?

I'm no compooter wiz, but an online directory for the chicora borough of pennsylvania shows no resident with a last name beginning with the letter z....

Well, I'm certainly not to be thought of as a "computer wiz" but with almost no effort at all, I learned that there is a guy named Daniel Zulick who lives on Fairmont Road in Chicora, PA

I'm guessing Dan's our overbidder

I can't believe their description! They are actually trying to sell these?????? I am NOT making this up.......see below

Gerant, like Rip Van Winkle, should have stayed asleep much longer, for smoking this offering will make you wish you were unconscious. Frankly, in comparison with other legendary sleepyheads Gerant is downright Olympian. Indeed, he must have been taking a Golden Siesta at the blending table because these 7"x50 Churchills are so mild and straightforward as to lack any hint of flare. If airballs that are so mild and mellow as to be void of any complexity are what you're looking for - or you want to glom something off that looks good to your moocher buddies...then these Connecticut-wrapped cigars will fit the bill. If you are looking for actual taste, try something else.

Oh man... Same problem they were having back in February. I made 1 bid. They turned it into 2 bids and then substituted some other cigars for one of the bids and then shipped them to California and I never saw any of them.

Beer

EDIT: OK, looks like they put the correct photo in there. This one had the Opus X photo, right.

Wow after buying on cbid for 6 years this is first time I looked at the forums. You guys are great! Enjoyed reading banter!
Question tho. Which bid drops off first? When say all 30 are bid on and new higher guy comes in? Guy who first bid or last bid on lower price?

Welcome! You say you enjoy reading the banter. Yet your first post -- in the Overbidding thread -- has nothing to do with overbidding. Which makes me wonder if you can read at all.

I take it you're a typical Florida inbred, with all the mental deficiencies that entails. To separate you from the rest of the cretins who come from families that are a little too loving, do you mind if we call you FatherSister?

Well, I am just guessing but, some people are either that ignorant or they are not and just have that much cash to do what ever they please to get what ever they want at what ever cost... Or was that a rhetorical and redundant question Anxious ?

"some people are either that ignorant " it has to be this cause no one with that much cash would smoke a $3per cigar.

I know some guys that would. Yes most of my friends are azzholes lol. Not only do they love to troll but they also can afford to troll in that way. I seen one surgeon pay 3 times the worth for a car just to keep another surgeon from getting it. I have also seen them do this with Homes, Land and buying other companies. What will really blow your mind is they will pay the outrageous over payment to turn right around and sell it for 4x less than what it was originally worth or even better, just give the item away. Its a pissing contest that is brought to a whole new level. d'oh!

I was just saved from overbidding on a different site. When I went to submit a bid on a box of 10 (that I didn't read well and assumed was 20), I got a pop-up warning to tell me that my bid was higher than the current price on xxx.com - the parent site. Wow. That was unexpected...and cool.

I finally threw a bid for the first time since the fiasco. Couldn't pass up that kinda deal. But, it seems the other 2 bidders match me bid for bid. So far, I've thrown the bid to win for all 3 units thrice, and still am only winning 1
