So I'm starting to learn to take these with a grain of salt. I won a 5er of Alec Bradley Prensado Robustos for a pretty good price. I had been wanting to try them for a while, so I was pretty excited to win them. I watched some cigar reviews to see what I was up for. The video reviews were mostly positive, but almost all complained about burn issues. This had me a little worried, but what could I do now? I've already won them. They came in and I let them rest for a few weeks. I'm smoking my first one tonight, and man it's a good cigar! Good flavor, slow burn....and a razor sharp burn! Has anyone else watched reviews before or after a cigar and noticed the reviews don't match how they feel about a cigar? |

A lot of people on here have complained about AB Prensado having burn issues as well. I have only smoked a few and just recently my noob (n808) game me one. Ashed it last weekend and it was decent with no burn issues. May just be luck of dray but I haven't had any problems with the Prensado, but the American Sungrown I have not been able to keep lit to save my life. |

I think the folks at AB were aware of the burn issues, which from my experience, was fairly prevalent 4 to 5 years ago, especially with the Tempus, and to s lesser extent, the Prensado. Maybe they have solved the problem. |

I used to smoke the hell out of Prensados. They did have burn issues, but I didn't care, I just touched them up. They were cheap and had good flavor. The last batch a had a while back didn't have the burn issues that the previous ones had, so Kotc is probably correct.
I haven't bought any in a while, but historically when I do have them, I smoke them up pretty quick. Good smoke IMO.
As far as video reviews, the only ones I ever watched were that one chick with the big tits, but I can't tell you her opinions because I didn't have the sound on... that would have ruined it for me. |

Haha! Y'all are probably right. Maybe AB did listen to all the complaints and fixed the burn issues. I was thinking more along the lines that these guys weren't storing the cigars at the right humidity, or smoking them ROTT. And who knows? Maybe the next 4 cigars will have burn issues and I just got the golden nugget of the bunch my first try. |

I have had a couple and don't remember burn issues. I tend to ignore them though...just part of smoking all sorts of different cigars.
Agree that it is a good cigar. Very solid for the price.
Good to see KOTC around again. |

Those dudes may store their smokes in a half ass way that makes the humidity go up & down and then never rotate their smokes. who knows! Who gives a **** about the burn. As long as it tastes good and the draw is ok. and the 5" x 50 Robusto is not nearly as good as the 7" x 48 Churchill which is the size that was actually Rated '96'. |
