Drafter, both Trump and Hillary deserve the same standard, the American one. Innocent until proven guilty. There are certainly some differences in their respective situations. The Trump situations are presently ongoing. Untill the special council releases his report their are many unknowns. Though we can say with certainty that to this point in time Trump has not been implicated in any way. Hillary's situations have long since past. She was never charged with anything. So unless you believe that the FBI and congress were complicit in multiple cover ups, you need to come to the realization that Hillary is completely innocent. If you do believe that the FBI and congress are complicit in multiple cover ups then you need to provide verifiable information to support your opinion to be taken seriously.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

Huck, to date president Trump has done nothing that is treasonous. Speaking/writing about him in a seditious manner is wrong. To accuse him of treason without absolute fact is beyond being partisan. What has he done that would be a verifiable fact that he committed treason? When did it become reasonable to accuse someone of a crime where the punishment for that crime is death?

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman wrote that "there is overwhelming evidence that our president ... engaged in treasonous behavior." And John Brennan, a career CIA official under several presidents who served as the agency’s director between 2013 and 2017, called Trump’s actions "nothing short of treasonous."

There's an abundance of information indicating that he's committed treason.
Research it.

Trump is right now, before our eyes and those of the world, committing an unbelievable and unforgivable crime against this country. It is his failure to defend. Treasonous.

Harvard law professor John Shattuck argues that even if Trump and his team didn’t knowingly coordinate the cyberattacks on the DNC with any party, their actions after the intelligence team’s conclusions were made could rise to the level of treason. He says that denying the cyberattacks, which is something Trump continues to do, and working to hamper their investigations is like “giving aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States”.

"Donald Trump's press conference performance in Helsinki rises to and exceeds the threshold of "high crimes and misdemeanors." It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump's comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???" former CIA Director John Brennan tweeted on July 16.

According to 18 U.S. Code § 2381: “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

TDS is strong with this one.

You literally can't even supply one piece of evidence that condemns Trump's treason.
You can do nothing more than quote other people who FEEL Trump is treasonous. Or give yet more examples of what defines treason, without showing that Trump DID any of those things.

Holy crap.

Well, except for a sternly worded tweet from John Brennan.
That and some liberal professor who thinks that Trump'd denial of a cyber attack is proof positive he committed treason.

As usual, you're talking out of the wrong orifice.

You're clearly incapable of connecting dots. Just one of many dots, the Helsinki press conference. Trump rather than admonish Putin for well-documented, undeniable election interference, instead announces to the world that he has no reason to distrust Putin.

Imagine any Democrat potus saying that. You'd faint. And I for one would leave you there.
He trusts Putin over his own intelligence agencies!? Explain?! Help?!!
All snide deflection and remarks aside, why? ...You won't answer. Too real.

Is it unimportant? Why does he side with Putin? Not suspicious given the larger context regarding NATO?
He likes Russia? Is that it? Really. Talk to me.

Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, announced criminal indictments against 12 members of the Russia Military Intelligence agency. The indictment laid out in extraordinary detail the extent to which Russian hackers sought to infiltrate the computer networks of the DNC and Hillary. There've been over 30 convictions and guilty pleas so far. And its not over! Why does Trump downplay this? It's fun? Antagonistic? For his diary? You love him..

Really. This acceptable to you? A president who is effectively a Russian agent?

Trump knew about the private meeting with Russians during the campaign and at first lied.
The meeting was proportedly about adoption or some such nonsense.
Now the truth is out. He knew and wanted jr to take the meeting where dirt the Russians gathered would get shared. He cheated and lied. He conspired with RUSSIA.
Treasonous. You love him more than you love your country? Maybe....

Are you being honest with yourself in all this? You actually believe he was out of the loop?

You think I want to be right. Wrong. If when the Mueller investigation is done I'll be happy either way. I want clarity. Yep, I strongly suspect he's guilty (dots) but believe it or not I hope he's not.

Last dot reference: I connect dots. You connect wisecracks. You can't handle the truth!

This isn't a Hyperbole Contest. You should stop, just once, and listen to yourself.
Don't forget: Obama was POTUS during the election. There is evidence to suggest that the US knew about Russian meddling. Obama did nothing. I guess he's a Russian agent too.
And Obama is also a cop killer. Because he said the words that riled up the shooter in Dallas to kill cops. Yup. Obama is a cop killing Russian agent.
Yes.
That's how stupid you sound.

So Trump wanted someone to have dirt on him? Because that's what you're saying here.
What was the conspiracy? Honest question, because you continue to use words that you don't seem to understand. If he conspired, what was the conspiracy? What did Trump gain?
Pretend I don't read the news. Tell me specifically what he gave the Russians that gives them an advantage on America.
Because I'm shocked. SHOCKED I tell you. That something this important is being left to innuendo, winks and nods.
I guess if you say "If you're smart then you'd know already" enough times then people will stop asking.

Not to belabor...but how can so many of his associates be guilty and he's not?

Trump openly ran on a pro-Russia platform, adopting Russian views on the conflicts in Syria and Ukraine, defending Putin’s character, and vowing to break up the NATO alliance.

He explicitly called on the Russian government to hack and release Hillary Clinton’s emails.

This is beyond not normal. This is suspicious at very least.

There's way too much smoke to not be fire.

I suspect that no evidence will convince his supporters otherwise.
