He doesn't have to bust out at the card table, but he does have to realize he blinked and Pelosi called and raised. Her hand improved after the midterms and recent popularity polls. his shutdown did not make the Dems cave. That's a real loss and error in judgement of the opposition.

He might be able to get her to take today's offer, add some chocolates and flowers (she's oooold school)...but he can't blink again.

As for me, I might have said thanks for reconsidering DACA, let's wrap this up.

It's on Trump, 100% IMO. I do not blame the Republicans. I would expect them to back a Republican president. They came up with a compromisee with the Democrats, Trump would not accept it. I do not blame the Democrats. They came up with the same compromise Trump did not accept. Trump offered an unacceptable compromise. The Democrats have said open the government and we will work to find a compromise. I don't expect them to allow Trump to force them to accept his terms because he is holding the government hostage. Is it cherry pie? If so I'll be right over. I do so love deep dish cherry pie. And some vanilla bean ice cream on top. Mmmmm.

The prez wants to keep pushing the wall, even forced the shutdown.
the dems say no negotiations until you reopen the government.
the prez walked out.

you're still against the wall. but you aren't demanding he drop the wall condition to reopen the government.

instead, you have switched to saying it's now Pelosi's fault that the shutdown continues, and for some reason feel it's important to tie me into it too.

but clearly no discussions about the subject you are against (the wall) will take place until the prez...who shut down the government...drops his demand to fund the wall (that you oppose) in order to reopen government.
