Late Introduction
1. Author: Cigarlady7Date: Thu, 4/11/2019, 2:14PM EST
Hi there. I obviously skipped this intro by mistake, but doing it now...
Note that I am new to this forum only, but not cigar smoking. I am a four year smoker so not sure if that makes me a vet or not. I first got into cigars on my first time down in Tampa in '15. I have four humidors at home; three are full.

My favorites are the milder to medium bodied sticks (even though I enjoy a Bolivar on special occasion) and I enjoy everything from 5 dollars to authentic Cubans. Faves list as follows: DREW UNDERCROWN SHADE & Liga 9, CALDWELL Blind Man & Eastern Standard, Punch Rare Corojo, Camacho Connecticut, Monte White Series, Rocky Patel Decade, Alec Bradley Mundial... And when Im feeling really fancy, Trinidad, and Hoyo Epicure 2.

Im not a liquor or beer drinker. I only do wine so I dont "pair" much because of palate mixture. I travel a lot so I am always looking for new stuff to smoke in new places.

Im looking forward to meeting good people on here and exchanging suggestions or maybe even a few smokes if our palates or preferences match!

Waffles only, occasional walks on beach, never been camping, and no Turkish prisons (only American).

Welcome to the genetically altered super smart monkey house. If poo is flung, duck.

Not my call but it seems forum newness determines noobiness. Oh, and they didn't give credit for incognito forum stalking either

For future reference, the only time waffles are acceptable is if they include chicken and a light coating of habanero infused syrup
13. Author: DrafterXDate: Thu, 4/11/2019, 3:49PM EST
I could sure some chikens and waffles with a light coating of habanero infused syrup about now... Mellow
14. Author: Cigarlady7Date: Thu, 4/11/2019, 4:02PM EST
Hold the habanero ( not a fan of heat) but I will do the maple with some southern fried tenders.

You got me actually wanting c/w now....
If I break the sugar diet I am on right now, it's your fault.

Lol! Actually it is only for 90 days. I had a weight loss goal which I am pretty close to meeting. (Typical woman stuff)

I try using escapes too much. Sometimes I fail. (Ex: I can eat waffles and syrup tonight IF I wake up tomorrow am and do treadmill for an hour)

Usually doesn't happen...

Yeah...I'm sure you did...lol. As far as Z and his camping trips....good move. She doesn't need to be scarred for life. Look what he did to poor Whistlebritches. He'll never be the same. I'm pretty sure Z knows where CROS is, too.

Well, since my computer and browser aren't playing nice, I'm going to truncate my reply. First, welcome to the hobby and boards. Surprised to see you list Liga 9 among your favorites. It's a good smoke, albeith one that has gotten very expensive. I'm partial to the T52 line, a really rich cigar. However, neither are anywhere near what I'd call mild to medium.

But this post is yours, so I'm going to offer up some of the milder cigars I enjoy on occasion. I prefer stronger fare, but a good, mild cigar is a nice break from time to time, and there are a number of them I enjoy. In no particular order: Perdomo Lot 23, Nub connie (I prefer the smaller version, especially early in the day), RP Vintage 2003 and RP Decade Cameroon, Perdomo Champagne (and Noir), and the 5 Vegas Gold is a decent smoke (albeit without a lot of flavor) that is usually dirt cheap around here. I think the My Father La Antiguidad is pretty mellow for my tastes, and it has serious credentials. Oliva's connie reserve might be the best one on the market, IMHO. It's one I recommend to all who are starting and/or prefer a good, mild-med smoke. I'm also partial to one of my first premium smokes, the Graycliff Red (although the MSRP is IN-SANE, they can usually be found around here at a reasonable price...just use a punch, as Graycliff cigars tend to be rather loosely-rolled). Victor Sinclair Primeros were one of my favorite shorter smokes when the made a chisel-shape called Aero, but I haven't seen them for sale in years, and my stash of them is gone. You might try a single of another vitola in the line. Macanudo Gold is quite mild and it's been a long time since I've smoked one, but as I recall, it has a pleasant lemony hint to it.

A bit stronger, but still nice and smooth and usually available at a decent price, I enjoy Nick's Sticks Meduro for a budget smoke, as well as one of the original Gurkhas (haven't purchased one in many years, so I can't vouch for quality now) Signature 101 maduro (not sure those are being made any more). The Gurkha Regent with the cameroon wrapper was pretty damned good when I last bought it years ago. CAO Black has a connie wrapper, IIRC, but the innards bump up the strength to a medium....a flavorful smoke, to be sure. Cu-Avana Maduro were always a smooth smoke for me, but the key is to let them nap. No cigar I ever had or smoked plumed like those, and they are really inexpensive, plus rank maybe mild-med at most. With the plume, it's almost like a very fine confectioner sugar taste on the lips. Not a wine-pairing smoke, probably better with coffee or an iced tea. RP Edge connie (formerly Edge Lite) are pretty decent. Bohemian Bamboo is a good choice if you like a cigar without any body or taste whatsoever.

If you haven't tried a candela, I recommend smoking at least one or two. LFD, RP, Illusione and Graycliff all make candies I like, although many of those are more of the medium to medium plus range. You may not like the grassy tastes, or you may enjoy the offset the wrapper gives a bolder filler. For those who enjoy them, they provide a nice break from the usual fare.

I'm not a huge fan of flavored or infused smokes, but a couple DE smokes are pretty good if you're in the mood for something sweet. CAO Eileen's Dream is super sweet, but tasty. DE's CI Legend has a nice amaretto flavor, although quite sweet to my palate. Acid Blondie and Liquid aren't bad, but the English Hops Natural (oops, Larutan?) taste like they are dipped in Sweet N Low, to my tastes. Ugh.

Hope that gives you a few more options. Nice to have a lady around here (especially one that isn't an employee that is scolding one of us knuckle-draggers about our behavior.) :)P~~~~~~~~~~~~
