Today I got my order and some cigars seemed off from what I’ve always known and enjoyed. Different richness, color, and richness and even gauge. Now I understand that some brands may not be the best with consistency but it’s frustrating to not get what you ordered. Makes me wonder if this auction site is selling irregulars or rejects. This is not the first time I’ve noticed this. The best example would be the CAO Brazilia. These sticks are usually dark, rich, oily, so oily they shine. What I received today and just finished smoking was NOT that. It was like I was smoking a different cigar entirely.
Any information or answers would be appreciated. I plan to call customer service tomorrow during business hours. |

You’re not a Platinum Member™️ so you get internet cigars, I get Shpo cigars and frequently ones I didn’t even bid on!

No clue about differences in RG other than inconsistency / QC with the brand. Do you smoke your CBid cigars ROTT or do you let them acclimate to their new surroundings? Most online vendors store and ship their cigars over humidified so it's typically recommended to let them sit for a couple to 3 weeks before sparking them up. Be forewarned: You may have to wait for quite awhile when you call CS. |

Im aware of all that. Been smoking cigars for almost 30 years.
This is beyond an inconsistency or humidification issue.
Thanks for responding tho.

Early on, Cbid made a ton of money renting the Gurkha name and throwing it on anything they could get their hands on... gran habano had a similar deal if I'm not mistaken....
Both general and altadis make nearly all of their money selling subpar cigars under historically respected Cuban brand names that they've illegally hijacked...
You've been smoking cigars for nearly 30 years... a craptastic cao shouldn't come as a surprise to you... |
