Yeah, I was able to put some weight on it limp to the bench (with the help of beer). It swelled up like a ****. UW-Madison hospital was just blocks away. X-ray was a spiral fracture like a candy cane.

I still remember the discussion as if it was yesterday. "You'll probably have arthritis in the ankle when you gt older."

Drove my roommates Honda Spree to and forth to class for a while until it "kinda" healed. Then drove my Yamaha Seca 400 (one of my college vehicles for local transportation) with crutches strapped to my back. I think it cost me like a $2500 used, one previous owner back in the day. I wonder what it would cost to get one now?

Loved that cycle. It was small, sporty got me to where I needed to be. (Driving from Madison to GB for Thanksgiving one year on it kinda sucked though). Dumped it off at my parents house when I moved to MA. They stored it in the garage for a year. Told me if I didn't come get it after a year it would be donated to a local charity.... it ended up being a charity item

I wonder if I could buy one again... just for nostalgia purposes

Air Conditioning.

It was a Toyota Sienna with 100k miles. Had the front and rear air conditioning. Test drive post fix was the cool/cold, but not nipple hardening cold. Shared that with the tech.

Turns out there are two ways to fix it. One is a full out replacement. A less expensive option is to in essence plug the tubing so all the coolness comes through the front of the vehicle, eventually the cooler air gets to the back.

The plug job…. $400.
Full restore…. $3,300.

Decent question. Don't know about that one.

Also had a well-to-do gentleman I gave a ride to. Had a customer ordered two new Audis (for he and his wife).

Construction of the wiring harnesses started 2 days before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Any guesses where they were being made? (Hint: Not Russia).

A century or two ago, the richest of Americans ate using real silver, silverware. After a period of time, their complexion would take on a bluish hue. Those people were nicknamed Blue Bloods.

Coffe consumption study.

A study found that people that take their coffee black are more likely to exhibit psychopathic traits.

It also found that people that order a quad shot, non-fat, vanilla soy, extra foam, light whip with caramel drizzle are most likely to be their victims.

I'm not a coffee snob, drink it the way you enjoy. I like my unflavored coffee hot and black, but I'm not above using cream and sugar to make undrinkable coffee drinkable.
313. Author: BuckyB93Date: Sun, 5/22/2022, 5:14PM EST
Hot, black, strong with a teaspoon of sugar per 8 oz of Joe. Not a fan of cream but I could drink it as long as it's not that fake powder cream $hit.

Been known to add, sometimes, a spoonful hot cocoa mix to make it a redneck version of a hot cocoa coffee thing.

That said, I'm more of a tea fan. I drink it with an extended pinky finger so it looks like I'm royalty and stuff

On Running out of gas. After adding gas, don't start it right away. Turn the key to 98.2% of having the engine turn over and then turn it off. Repeat two more times.

That 98.2% clicking ignites the fuel injectors to make it start easier.

I was tracking (on USPS) an order from the Page place and it has been sitting in NJ for the last week. Turns out, it's been on the move, I just had to use the same tracking number on the UPS site to see it will be here tomorrow-ish... Yay.
