Funny story.

My daughter's friend comes over, wants a snack.

My wife says, well, we got bananas... nope...

Apples... nope...

I know, how about strawberries... uh...

I don't eat fruits and vegetables and stuff... do you have a cookie?

I heard that and about spit up my drink.

What about a Special Needs Trust so that her assets are protected from being spent-down- and she could still get Medicare/Medicaid/SS? You need to find out which attorney to talk to from the assisted living facility's Business Office. The lawyer's office or website will probably explain what you need to know and do and answer questions for you.

No matter the color, Froot Loops are all the same flavor.

"The colors mean nothing more than a decoration to brighten the bowl of what would otherwise be substandard Cheerios. This isn't a secret, as Kellogg's admitted that Froot Loops only come with one flavor to Straight Dope in 1999. But, as seen, the internet is fickle when it comes to such information, leaving article writers to express shock over and over as they reaffirm the unfavorable truth about the colorful cereal.

In 2014, FoodBeast decided to test this fact for themselves. They found in a blind test that no one could identify any of the Froot Loop colors based on the taste. However, as HuffPost writes, colors have conditioned us to preemptively expect certain flavors. They describe an experiment where culinary students could not identify sodas if those sodas were dyed a different color, indicating that regardless of what our tongue may report, we still use our visual sense to compile a flavor profile. Froot Loops, though all the same in taste, provide the illusion of difference."

Credit card holds.

When you go to the gas station, the ownership puts a temporary hold of anywhere from $100 to $175 on your card, even if you only put in $20, $30 or $50 in the tank.

The hold time varies from a few hours to a few days. I didn’t know that existed. Many others don’t either as people are seeing overdrafts fees and penalties charged when that hold fee is assessed.

The real stinker is the hold when people use debit cards. It's an actual temporary dedcuction from the balance of the account, and can easily turn into overdrafts...

All can be avoided if you you walk your lazy arse inte the store and hand the clerk your card before pumping... The holds ONLY apply if you use the card terminal in the pump itself.

You know that. Now I know that.
Yesterday I did not. It should be widely shared.

Just another case of protecting banks before people.
Unless we are to believe bank software isn’t sophisticated enough to be able to determine whether we have the funds in our account. Seems when i use an atm and ask for $100, it connects to my account to confirm I have the money (takes 30 seconds) and I get my money.

It’s simply a dirty deal between gas stations and banks.

An actual research study commissioned by Guinness found that an estimated 162,719 pints of Irish stout go to waste every year… via mustaches. The study found that 0.56 milliliters of Guinness get trapped in the average beard or mustache with each sip. And it takes about 10 sips to finish a pint.

An estimated 92,370 Guinness consumers every year in the UK have facial hair. Assuming they consume on average 180 pints each a year, the total cost of wasted Guinness annually is about $536,000.

May be time to shave again
