Good Sunday Afternoon! Up late, it's already an overcast 82° on the way to 83° today. Nothing in the works, just piddling around the garage today.

Tacos in the tummy. Early afternoon cigar now, mid afternoon chat with my son.

Sunny, low humidity and 78 degrees.

Up early,0630,installing 3 fish finders on the boat.Got the wires pulled into the center console ,thanks to wifey's help, then mounted the head units and transducers.Checking everything after pulling wire and the stbd running light very dim, after a VM check only getting 2 volts. After a half hour of wire chasing and still no joy I moved on..............I know I'm close but wifey had lunch ready, grilled ham & cheese, cucumber salad and fresh from the garden cantaloupe. It was getting hot outside so I decided to call it a day.......hit the man cave for a short nap followed by an AF Cuban Corona and a couple fingers WSR.Been lounging the rest of the afternoon dreaming bout getting that new boat wet...........next weekend if I can get a couple trolling motor batteries,a two bank charger and a recharge plug installed this week in my after work hours in 100 plus degree heat...........right now this is a definite maybe.

Afternoon folks. Chillin' on the top floor of the BOQ on the base in Coronado.

Turns out Tank is not a fan of elevators. AT ALL.

Sucks to be him... we're staying here for a couple days.

After four or five days in a truck, he might beg for an elevator.
407. Author: MACSDate: Sun, 7/10/2022, 5:46PM EST
Went to the exchange with him so he could walk around, pee, smell stuff and maybe a deuce...

He really had to pee.

Got back and made him walk up 9 flights of stairs since he doesn't like the elevator. He's asleep on the floor and I'm the one sweating.

Bastid.

Did my big bbq weekend. Fed 300 people, drank a lot of beer, fell off my pitbike a couple times, saw so many friends and ate so much good food.

I'm exhausted. Got home and unpacked, then promptly fell asleep for 3 hours.

Welcome back danm. Sounds like you had a great time.

Not a ton accomplished today. I'm ok with that. Biggest task was accompanying Mrs. Beach in her sunbathing endeavors. The downside is it was at the pool which does not approve of smoking in any form. I prefer the rule free environment of the backyard

Evening gents...

It's 9:30 at night here, 104 degrees, and I am sitting on the patio smoking and sweating my nether regions off... Ahhhh, summer in Arizona.

I mowed the lawn at 7:30 am because it was only 95 degrees then.

Drawback to staying in the hotel on the base where they train Navy SEALs... hell week.

And from around 8:55pm to about 9:40pm we heard sirens, bullhorns, shouting, and gunfire.

Not "Chicago" gunfire... none of this 'pop...pop... pop-pop-pop'. Oh, no... full on machine guns. AK47, M16, flash bangs and grenades. Frying pan

Thankfully it was only an hour. Tank was very unhappy and momma allowed him in the bed. I kicked his ass out when it was over.

Saw the economy at work today. Probably 80% of the cars I drove had under a quarter tank.
On the other side of the spectrum, got to putter a black, convertible Porsche Boxster.

In a weird one, had to pick up a car of a local news celebrity of sorts.

Dog hair everywhere and old lady perfume part of the interior.

It was all topped off with a half a bottle of water with 4 or 5 cigarette butts floating in them.

Wisconsin classy.

Almost got crushed by a semi. Snubbed the same vehicle multiple times, then dropped my cell phone cracking the screen.

A day I should have remained in bed.

Scarlet O'Hara had it right. Tomorrow is, another day!
