*I just accidentally put this in MACS football thread. Told you I was exhausted Lol
Cut down 14 trees this evening ranging from tiny (could be done with a Sawzall) to small, to medium. 2 of em were medium trees with decent stumps. Most were small.
Just got to clean up this new mess and then I'm done. 24 trees total since first week of February. Got plenty of firewood for bonfires and camping.
Western half of the yard looks better. Makes the big trees stand out more.
We're going to start our garden seeds on Saturday. Bout time to move into the spring phase...
I'm exhausted.

3 eggs scrambled with spinach, mushrooms and Wisconsin cheddah. 2 slices Dave's killer bread with avocado.
183.3 lbs today (after breakfast!) and most of it solid. |

Shun Premier. Shoulda done this a long time ago. Those look badass. Did you buy a set, or piece by piece? I've had a good set of Chicago Cutlery for the last 2 purchases, but they're not high quality. I have a Wusthof filet knife that I bought... and a German steel cleaver for the wife to chop with so she doesn't use my knives. |

This is my 500th post, so I feel I am worthy to post here now. It was just a personal requirement.
Let's see, I don't know the exact temperature, but I put shorts on for the first time since last summer today.
Hot water tank kicked the bucket today, getting replaced tomorrow, but to make matters worse the tank cracked and is leaking, and the ball valve on the cold water intake line isn't closing correctly so I had to shut the water off to the entire house. Currently turning it on and off to fill commode. Fun times. Hope everyone is getting nice weather and enjoying it. |

Recovery Day. Eventful dog walk. First, ran into two dogs that looked like something from Star Wars. A cross between those tall, white, Empire fighting giraffes and Chewbakka. Only saw one at first, slowly walking toward the street. No leash or restraints. 100+ pounder. Yelled commands to stop him. He calmly and casually kept walking toward us. Then his near clone started out from the garage. Kuba (62 pounds of explosives) growled, shot her Brat Streak on her back, barked once. The monster kept walking.
The owner yelled something to his dogs, they slowed but didn’t stop. Kuba danced like Muhammad Ali. The big boys just stood there, body language saying “Dudette, chilllll. It’s casual.”
Owner apologized, but his behemoths were on great behavior. Irish Wolfhounds. 150 pound each. Wow. Just wow.
Then (sigh) a couple streets later, it was like a scene out of Raising Arizona. In their driveway, 50 yards away, a maybe two year old, shirtless infant in a diaper, and two dogs. A 10 pound 50 shades of ruffled gray and white thing, and the larger, angrier love child of a Bloodhound/Irish Setter/Bast Urd big dog started running toward us.
The little one talked chit, while the other one lunged, missing Sugar Kuba Leonard. The countered with a single connection where the aggressor’s left shoulder meets the neck. It yelped and started trotting toward home. By the time we walked up to their driveway, the boney, haggard, 65ish year old woman (with a heater hanging out of her mouth) scooped up the infant and went inside her duplex behind the two leash-less dogs.
Thoughtless, ingnorant and of stupid is no way to go through life. |

My dog walk wasn't nearly as eventful. Shaggy dog we see a lot comes running out of his yard, ignoring mom and dad, beelining for me... because he knows who always has treats in his pockets. I gave him a snack... he kept nudging my pocket for another, but I kept him distracted while mom came to get him. Can't be mad at the brother... he knows I'm gonna give him a snack. |

Can't sleep.
Dreams woke me up twice tonight. One was about an old car of mine I miss dearly. The other was getting chewed out at work for not knowing what I'm doing. Hasn't happened much but I do feel like an idiot there. There's no formal instruction, I'm just thrown in the mix. I don't know people's names let alone the names or locations of the equipment we use and people are getting really frustrated with me for taking too long to figure it out. And today I'm on call today from 7a to 7a Friday which means I have to stay all day until all the cases are done for the day, usually a 12-14 hour shift and be on call all night. I still can not log into any of the computers, drug cabinets, lab devices. I'm seriously doubting whether this was the right move. Still gonna try to stick it out for a year but I'm getting frustrated and they're getting frustrated with me |

Don’t they have training protocols at all? Start covering your cornhole. Document, document, document. With all of the illness related to my aging parents, and death of dad, the thing I noticed is a lack of continuity of care and subpar communication. Seems it’s all about delivering quickly vs targeting successful outcomes. |

Kuba walk complete. An all business trip for her. As usual, into the wind for the first half of the walk. A total of maybe 10 sniffs on the day. She just kept the legs moving. Two miles in 40 minutes.
In the Lucky 8track Flex of the Day, I get to go back to back dentist appointments. Yesterday was confirming a crown is needed. Due to someone else’s cancellation, I get the build up and pre of the crown today.

Good afternoon all. Another nice day here high around 70.
Plumber is here replacing my water heater. Just in time. I was thinking of calling that lume/Mando chick and asking her if she wanted to rate the smell of my azz crack right now. Apparently she's into that sort of thing.
Taking son to the hockey game later today. Go Pens.

It's just completely unstructured. With a different nurse every day, sometimes multiple per day so none of them know where I'm at in training. I'm in different rooms different procedures etc I get this is how real life is here but I'll start getting the hang of something or start to get a handle on inventory locations and stuff, then it's on to something else. I was hoping there would be some formal education on the way it goes but I just get thrown in the mix and expected to pick it up. Just very very frustrated. Don't help either I went from telling everyone what to do, to being the FNG. |

I thought the sky at night was the best part of the Grand Canyon. It's a certified dark earth area because of so little light pollution. The dark earth society went around the park and removed all the unnecessary lights and put hoods over the necessary ones, they've been at it for years. You can see the milky way galaxy plain as day. Only time Ive ever seen it. You can also see the starlink satellites if it's clear enough. |

Am on the Cigar & Booze DL for seven days. Oral surgery this afternoon for the fractured tooth from a couple months ago. Got lucky on the angle it broke. The break ran perfectly parallel, three millimeters from the nerve. Had to cut away the gum line to clean it out (no infection). Two sutures. Waived off the offer of RX painkillers. Will try the ibuprofen route. |
