Mornin' Rambo & dudes... feeling better. Antibiotics doing their thing, I guess. Appointment with cardiologist Friday to discuss what to do about the meds. To be honest, I am not sure it was the meds. 4 months on them without an issue and then this?

Might just be a case of diverticulitis. I dunno... which is why I will bring the cardiologist the info from the ER and see what he says. 53 years and never took meds or spent a single night in a hospital. Then the damn wheels fell off this ride. fog

This is what I first thought of when I read your post. I have it and when it acts up exact symptoms you had. Been cheating lately and eating a mixed variety of nuts, have to cool it.

Glad you're feeling better.

24 wc 11.
Abbreviated walk this morning. Went early as it is only getting windier as the day ages.
Treated myself to a massive scramolet (started at an omelette, but was to heavy on inside ingredients making it look like something from Lakehurst NJ in the 1930s).
Dentist phone tag, and a chat with a friend mid morning.
Rest and Recovery day.

43 degrees on the dog walk. Chilly, but bearable with a hoodie and beanie.

Scrambled eggs with shrooms and an English muffin with strawberry preserves. Sposta be a gym day, but with the gut issues I think I'll just relax for a few days. Between the recliner and the bed, slept 10 hours and 3 minutes last night.

I prefer to use shoyu whenever I eat HBE. Gives it a little moisture and, imho, more taste. Of course, ymmv.

Good Wednesday evening to All!

Great day at the range this morning followed by a trip to Lowes to buy a portable wheeled toolbox made by Klein, to use as a range bag. The store had three on display, dusty and in various states if assembly including additional extra cost parts, all of them cabled together with anti-theft devices. We got a Lowes employee to try and buy the thing, he had to call another guy, then walked off. Meanwhile, six different Lowes employees passed by. We waited about fifteen minutes and left empty handed, I came home ordered it from Amazon, $10 more, but new in the box, I hope. Also Amazon had the accessories for less $. Only our mailman is going to be unhappy now.

Grew up with food insecurity and continued till my mid 20s, it's really really hard for me to see food get thrown out and equally as hard to not gorge myself at an open buffet of free food.

I've been behaving. Only twice have I filled a tupperware with leftovers to take home. And only had one plate at lunch each time no seconds or thirds.

I don't think that's something I'll ever get over. I hate seeing food wasted it elicits a very primal response in my brain. Even food I don't like I will eat until it's gone before ill throw it away. Food that's probably not safe to eat by the standards- like sitting room temp 6 hours, I'll eat it. When you've eaten food taken from the garbage out of necessity, there's no repulsion to stuff like that.

So instead of doing the brackets the last few years, a couple kids that my kids grew up with started a version of March Madness Squares, played like Super Bowl Squares.
$200 entry.

payouts at each halftime and each final, payout increases through the rounds, ending with a 2K win for the last game winner.

High seed/low seed numbers pulled this morning, got some formula for determining high seed if two teams meet with the same ranking down the road.

I got 5 and 2

Big stakes!

Am in a smaller stakes square pool, but same concept. Every game is a potential winnah!

As the rounds advance, so do the monies.

I understand, Danm... I am loathe to waste food, myself. But at what point do you look in the mirror and say, "I don't like what I see and I am going to do something about it"?

For me it was 218 lbs when I retired from the Navy. Dropped 16 lbs before the sheriff's academy. Stayed 202 for awhile. Started plumping up again and got it down to 173 at one point. Since then I have kept it under 200 and for the last year or so have been staying around 180-185.

I think 175 would be ideal. As you know weight loss is 10% what you do and 90% what you eat. I'm doing my best to eat better. Hitting the gym to add muscle.

Funny story... when I met rfenst he said... "You're wider than I thought you would be, not fat, in a good way." Don't skip shoulder day. whip

On top of that, they have little knowledge of their departments like home Depot employees do.

Beautiful weather today in the upper 770's- 80F. Nice breeze. Definitely a short sleeve and pants day.

Wife has the day off so we re spending the day together.

Going down to the J. Crew outlet to get a new pair of jeans and to Brooks Brothers for a new shirt (just because I have a$50 gift certificate). Should be able to buy one shirt, probably a polo style.

Nothing but hanging out with my wife all day.

All is good. Hope it is for everyone else here too!

Morning gents. Beautiful day 52 going to a clear 80 today. Put 5.5 miles on my newly shoe goo'd shoes this morning so they are good for another two days. Have 4 pairs repaired and curing and another 2 pairs ready to go. I try to stay on dirt walking paths but also many miles on asphalt which wares the heels down quicker.

Life in the fast lane baby!

Well, anyone who has kids knows there a lot's of awesome milestones you get to witness. And a few not so awesome ones.

Yesterday, my older daughter (6) had her first (and hopefully last) official 'shart'. As in, put-the-undies-in-a-zip-lock-in-the-trash-and-get-her-in-the-shower shart.

Such nachas...
