To combat the obsessive compulsive disorder you must take two steps.

1. Before you bid, ask yourself, "Do I need these cigars or do I want to win an auction?

2. Never carry over charges on the credit card that was used to buy cigars. Pay all charges in full when the bill arrives.

Just smoke BadFrogs all day. That will save ya some cash. I got 15 for a buck. But never outbid RickMaven for them. He'll send his goons after you.

There are a few guys I know from here in Jersey that will for a few bucks plus expenses come over to your place and beat you sensless. This will force you to experience a withdrawl from your addiction while you come around and keep the prices lower for the rest of us who can control ourselves.

But yours is not an unusual situation. We all have TOO MANY CIGARS - take a lesson from the wise words of our friend Robby - smoke the good stuff and enjoy the experience. And trading is a great adventure and a superb way to meet Brothers of the Leaf.

In fact, I rearranged the bottom of the ploomidoor tonight and dug out a camacho corojo figurado with about a year and a half on it. Can't remember for sure and I don't write the dates on the boxes like I should. It smells like a cross between leather and sex. I'm going to smoke it in another hour or so on the porch after the movie Adaptation. Curled up with the damn spreadsheet I thought I had nailed last night, but the requirements changed... So I thought if I'm going to be up late working, I midas well enjoy myself!

Welcome.

Yeah, I bought two more coolers last night. I think getting the weekly brown box fix in the mail is nearly as addictive as the cigars and the bidding. Oh well, who needs a clothes closet when you can store cigars in there anyway.

Bidding addiction, Cigar addiction. Been there, still there, think I always stay there (it's too much fun!!) but my advice is definitely don't use credit!! Only bid on what you really like and set limits. I've purchased several hundred on cbid this last year, but only on brands I like and an occassional sampler to try something new. Good luck on controlling you addiction !! And perhaps if you and others can get it under control, then I wont have so many bids to compete against!!!!!

It is hard to stop. The only solution I've found is to stop visiting the board on a daily basis. I check here now every few days and then I stay away from the auctions...I come straight to the boards. I've also been spending more time smoking and less time buying...that seems to help.:)
