Cut myself on the same cutter yesterday. Only a little paper-cut on the end of my finger. Didn't know the darn thing comes open. Rubber banded now.

I prefer the to use the scissors they seem to give the best control over the cut. My Colibri has a blade in it and I will use that in a pinch. I find when I use the scissors on the larger gauge cigars I kind of just shave the end. I don't try and cut the cigar in half.

Lay a guillotine type cutter flat on the table. Insert your cigar in the whole and, pressing down gently on the cigar against the table, make your cut. Perfect cut every time!

I've used punches, guillotine, and scissors over the years but ever since I got my swiss army knife/cigar cutter I use it 99 percent of the time. I got it here on CBid about 2 years ago. It's small and portable and does a great job. And since I've carried a pocket knife for many years I don't have to carry extra stuff. I just replaced my old pocket knife with the new one.
